ReplyDeleteIt's nothing more than negligence to health. He maybe hypertensive and never took his meds or had regular checks to know when there's a spike and control it.
ReplyDeleteA trained Pharmacist at that
DeleteYet he is a trained pharmacist. Abeg shift.
DeleteSome health personnel treat others and neglect to take care of themselves. So it could be negligence.
DeleteYou've never seen doctors who abuse alcohol? Nurses who are overweight? Knowledge isn't the same as it's application.
DeleteHow will a surgeon standing for 8 hours straight remember to take his beta blockers or antacids? How will an anesthesiologist who resumes by 6:30am have time to exercise? The stress and sleeplessness of many specialties leave many medics at risk. Those who think they enjoy better hours have to balance their books, and make their bankers happy. And there is this delusion of being young and invincible.
My lecturers always warned us not to end up with the diseases we were learning to treat then during breaks, rush to the smoking areas to puff a few sticks.
This is a humbling reminder for us to take our health seriously.
May God comfort his loved ones and rest him.
