As primary and secondary schools across the nation resume for the 2022/2023 academic session, parents are lamenting the decision of many school owners to hike the fees payable by each pupil.
In the face of the current economic hardship, daily post reports that there is an increased cost of textbooks, uniforms, sports wear and others.








Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Soludo, has identified the unknown gunmen unleashing terror on the State as Igbo people, saying that the perpetrators are not invaders. Soludo said suspects arrested so far “are 100 percent Igbo,” but noted that the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) had distanced itself from the crime.




-. Some masquerades invaded a church (name withheld) in Shikal village of Langtang South Local Government Area of Plateau State, on Sunday, flogging worshipers, as well as the Pastor. It was gathered that Adewuyi, who was armed with assorted charms, stormed the cemetery in the early hours of Saturday, exhumed a corpse, cut the head and brought out its intestines.

The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Cross River State, Maikano Hassan, has confirmed a lone incident that killed a middle-aged woman in Calabar, yesterday, who was in a hot chase of her husband over his “mistress.” The Sector Commander, who spoke with Vanguard, yesterday, said the incident was caused by over-speeding.



-. Cross River State Police Command has neutralised two out of the three suspects, who abducted some pastors in August 2022, at Odukpani Local Government Area of the State. It was gathered that the pastors had gone for a church planting ceremony in Creek Town, but were kidnapped on the waterways by the assailants, who were later paid N10 million as a ransom for their release.

    Students, government and police at loggerheads.
    The kind of things happening in this country!!
    Masquerades enter church and takes over, flogging pastor and members.
    Man exhumes corpse to cut off body parts. People’s lost loved ones who were buried and are prolly still being mourned are being brought out and tore to pieces.

    Wtf?? What exactly is this place called Nigeria????

  5. It's unfair for schools to suddenly increase fees knowing how hard the country is presently for everyone.we keep complaining of government but we are also unkind to one another

    1. Let's be rational and leave sentiment out. Schools are being run with money. Stationary is on the high side now. Things/materials used to run schools are now very expensive. How do you expect these schools to meet up if they don't increase fees?

  7. RIP to those that lost their lives in the auto crash.
    NANS should better watch it...I think they are going about this the wrong way.
    That Masquerade is wicked and has interior motive. He should be uncovered.
    May God help us to survive this country..the rate at which everything is increasing is alarming . I don't blame school owners for the increase in school fees.
