  3. It’s beyond that. If you try to do anything requiring ID in Nigeria from here, they will not take the expired Nigerian passport and nobody likes to give their 🇺🇸passport info on phone or by email from here so it doesn’t end in “Oluwole”. That is the main reason many try to renew it. There are some here too with a green card but no US passport yet. No airline will allow you board with an expired passport so they can’t travel.

These folks shouldn’t be on a school board and yet they are governing a whole country? What’s so difficult about making passport booklets available? Something that you apply for in the local post office even for the one with one of the best security features? Nigerian youths need to boot out these non-performing looters from government so the country can make progress.

    2. You know that even if they get your US passport info and use it, they will be in serious trouble! They can't try it! They can disturb your life with scam mails! They can't do jack, same with Canadian and Australian passports!

    3. Actually, your statement about No airline will allow you to board with expired passport is not true. There's something called timatic which countries updates from time to time should there be a change in the required to enter into the country. And for Nigeria, it says yes they can enter n the reference is available to the ticket agents at the airport.

  5. mmmhh, nawa. My own don expire since like early 2000s. Every single time I attempt to renew it, na long story and I no get power for all the wahala. I give up each time because of the headache. So tay, they will be saying find someone that knows somebody at the embassy or high commission, no way. Something that should be a routine process is unnecessarily complicated and headache-provoking. Na always - "no booklet" At least every 2 years I try o, maybe it will be different, wosai, Abeg, I don leave them the naija pp for now, I no go kee myself.
Them no fit make sufficient pp booklets available but them fit dey change trillions of currency. There is absolutely no valid reason that we the citizens should be experiencing this wahala at all except for greed and wickedness of the officials from NIS to customs to internal affairs ministry to the embassies. staff.
