  1. That marriage is actually very sweet with the right partner. Always had this horrible feeling about marriage but I have actually learnt it doesn’t have to be that way.

    1. We learnt, if you are based abroad, marry those based abroad. If you are based in Nigeria, marry those based in Nigeria. We learnt mixing the two were recipes for EPIC FAILURE... for most times...

    2. There's a thin line between sanity and insanity. Don't let any man take you across that line, guard your heart.

  5. People you help the most in life are likely not to turn up for you in your moment of need. Most people are only after what they can get from you,the fake love dies when you withdraw your assistance.

  13. That no matter hw perfect ur husband acts or looks, he is human, he is going to fall once or twice in the marriage. Esp if you have been married for long. That doesnt make him a cheat, it mks him human. Particularly this generation that social media and moral decadence has made difficult things easier. The difference is in how he acts after. I learnt this very late.

  20. That women are capable of being wicked. I was so naive, thinking female nature is soft, kind and good and so you can trust it implicitly. Not knowing that the softness and kindness can be a trap. Once they have what they need from you, the gloves can come off and you see what they are capable of. It just leads to so much distrust!

  21. Before I look at others' own self love in terms of giving myself the same as I give others.. I mean i am still learning and as a giver I have to have boundaries because takers do not have any. Like today for example someone that needs my legal advice text me ooo saying that my friend so and so gave her my number. I permitted my friend to give out my number yesterday and told her tell the person to call me, the person don text. Back in the day all in the name of help and going out of my way i would text reach out, call etc, right now - abeg shes the one needing the advice she will call, if we have to meet i will tell her to meet me where I can meet and not go out of my way. I saw a post that said one day you will tell someone "after all I did for you" and the person will say "did I ask you" I'm still striking a balance when it comes to my husband but before now I would really sacrifice and never complain, money time everything, if you see us early years of marriage my husband has gained weight oooo me I'm just losing because I would serve serve serve and he cant help but gain because what will he do. Now even holiday I no plan of we will be home so be it - i'm a planner, organiser, cook, helper, manager now I just dey watch if we do nothing I also don't mind I'm loving myself I'll find nice movie and watch and bake scones fry puff puff eat all those nice things with hot chocolate

  22. That I'm a target spiritually as people always turn against me, no more pain or anger, just acceptance and constant vigilance to ensure I don't ever be victimized again.
