    1. That's a religious rite. The practitioners of ATR have constitutional freedom to office their faith.

    3. These should be wiped off: female genital mutilation, tribal marks on the face, exorbitant costs for weddings eg bride price, and burials, forcing people to do rituals they are not comfortable with, Osu system, inheritance of wives, dropping sacrifices at public places eg junctions, making pregnancy before marriage mandatory, not helping male children to be domesticated, dangerous masquerades, human sacrifice, bewitching others to manipulate them, where women are not allowed an inheritance etc there are many unwholesome practices, some cannot be said publicly sef.

But there are also good traditions and values like respecting your elders, herbal medicine, native cuisine and fashion, storytelling, some leadership systems etc..............

  2. The custom and practice of celebrating burial should be looked into especially where human heads are used for sacrifice. Burial shouldn't be a celebration filled with display of cash and all that. It put people into unnecessary pressure.

Again, there should be a law prohibiting long stay of corpse in the morgue. People should be buried within the shortest time not exceeding one to two months.

  7. Facial marks!! In my tribe they do it a lot, especially to kids when they are always sick as infants.. They say the cutting is to enable what ever medicine get quickly into the child's blood to facilitate the effect of it..OR, they do it so that if the child dies unfortunately and reincarnate, they can easily identify him/her and send it back (kill the child) to avoid badluck. Imagine young handsome men and very beautiful ladies from my village having such marks now as adults.. Its just so wrong! Also the tribal mark tingy is not necessary anymore!
