The development was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Debo Ologunagba.
According to the statement, “the suspension, which takes effect from Thursday, March 23, 2023 was arrived at after an extensive review of the affairs of the party, pursuant to the provisions of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017).”
The main opposition party also referred the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, to the National Disciplinary Committee over his reported involvement in anti-party activities.
“The PDP urges all leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members of our party across the country to remain united and focused at this critical time,” the statement added.

ReplyDeleteE reach for Fayose to be suspended. How can you be in PDP and be walking for APC.
ReplyDeleteWhen PDP refused to work for those who were faithful to it instead of the tourists and visitors it promoted in the last election, that it when it lost the plot. The fact that the aggrieved members are suspended and Mr Ayu is still there tells me the party still wants to remain Atiku plc. When they are ready, they will uphold their constitution.
