    1. If your lifestyle doesn't fit a certain clique, they'll be calling you proud and looking for how to discredit you, when some of us keep to ourselves, we are not proud, we just don't have energy to never ending competition and backbiting. Adunni, abeg do the needful.

    3. Where will she go if she quits? How will she feed? She is not a good actress, Nollywood will not give her roles except she plays ball.
Funke is a good actress, so she can fit in anywhere, not comparable to Adunni. She should just look for one business band do.

  5. Anybody who owed that man money please turn it over to his estate. I am all for advocating for the dead, but why wasn’t this done quietly. Please return any owed money so his children won’t be lamenting on your name!

  8. Adunni Ade actually added the receipt of that payment on her bank statement on another blog. She highlighted it on her bank account and that should seal all these pettiness.

  10. Because she fell out with many of these people over the last elections, this was obviously done to smear her name.

Note that her name was the only one mentioned during the artiste's night for Murphy Afolabi. Unknown to the airheads trying to discredit her, they actually showed how unfortunate they have chosen to be. They were acting a script for those who were loyal to Tinubu during that night forgetting that this snow revealed that even those whiting for Tinubu week living poorly. Mind you, Tinubu has continued to do so much for the industry and compared to all contestants, had the best track record in terms of entertainment, it is those that face the business of entertainment that can make it big under an enabling environment eg Funke Akindele, Toyin Abraham, Femi Adebayo, Odun Adekola and not those who left their work hoping for a big cheque from NURTW boys despite being male or endowed and available. As the leader of this plot, Olaiya Igwe said, Murphy's children have no how except the state government adopts then unless they are open to their mothers getting pregnant for Oluomo.

First they claimed she was paid for a job days before the late actors sudden demise. They could have easily called her or sent a message but they will rather embarrass a fellow colleague than actually help the children of the deceased. Again, during this sham event, another own goal: a woman who had paid Murphy Afolabi 1.8 million naira for a job also came forward. Whatever money was raised on that night was definitely less than this standing debt and considering that the actor had a list of jobs he was paid to do before dying, they have put the wife and children in debt just because of this lie of owing about $320.

This also revealed the really sorry state of the industry and why some are so desperate, Yoruba and English speaking actors alike: The deceased failed to complete a 3-4 bedroom bungalow in Ikorodu after decades of an enviable career in the industry. He had different children with different women and needed to maintain them. A moderately flashy car and big birthday sprees which I am sure would have been better spent solving the issue of housing or at least investing.. maybe he knew he had a short life but I feel for the children.

Those acting in Nigeria should please take the issue of financial independence seriously. Acting should be like a side hustle and not the main source of income. Going all out to the cinema to gross N60 million after 2 decades (with more than half going back to investors/ marketers) is not enough to live a flashy life not to talk of those who are making peanuts for their efforts. Settle basics: stocks, bonds, housing, life insurance, with basic things like agriculture and have your home life under check. Zip up outside your wife's bedroom and leave an actual legacy or you'll be one of those using your colleagues' send-off to drag pennies and impress stark illiterates who own second hand buses and collect tax in the informal sector. Heaven forbid you will be that fallen colleague who's kids will be lived up and displayed for colleagues to be using to play cheap games.
