He caption this photo ''I'd like to share a recent informal visit I had with one of my in-laws – specifically, my wife's father's old-school friend and longstanding associates. Marrying into a family with such esteemed legal luminaries, senior advocates of Nigeria SAN, has been both an honor and a delightful challenge. My wife often playfully threatens to sue people/me, which never fails to make us all laugh.
During this visit, I had the distinct pleasure of meeting one of my esteemed in-laws, Chief Felix Fagboungbe SAN. It's clear that Kiki is surrounded by exceptional men, thanks to her biological father, a former financial industry icon and a prominent banker. Another father figure in her life, Akogun of the universe -Taiwo Lakanu who is also a SAN, Another Barrister Taiwo Taiwo SAN, and Eyimofe Atake SAN, just to name a few.
Engaging in a tête-à-tête with Chief Felix Fagbohungbe was an enlightening experience. He spoke highly of my wife's biological father, reminiscing about their days as classmates and both of them as prefects. Now, I have a better understanding of where Kiki's intelligence and grace originate. While she may claim to have built her empire herself, having such influential figures in her corner undoubtedly provided a substantial springboard for her career. The weight of the wisdom and gravitas around Kiki has undoubtedly played a pivotal role in her journey.

If you get married, as a woman keep developing yourself. Don't stay at one point. Even if you don't work or you are always at home try and do online courses for self development. Abati abandoned previous wives for beauty, power and brain. The other wives always looking like house helps beside him. You rarely see them with him. He is proud of this one. Not nice but he seems happy
ReplyDeleteI doubt you knew Abati was very poor when he wrote for the guardian so he did not have the money to take care of those “wives that looked like househelps”! It’s on this blog that many women complain that if you build with a man he will dump you for another spec. I guess it’s not double speak to praise him after dumping the wife that was with him when he was entering public transport about twenty something years ago, until he got into government. I don’t know what some stand for on same topic on this blog. He got money, got a woman who would t have looked at him when he was poor…the very behavior we seem to condemn????

ReplyDeleteIf you praise husband for being good and domesticated they bad talk or stay off the post because it is anti-usual mindset narrative.
If you praise wife and her family for being all round good and or helpful. Ah! Market spoiler. Why should a wife help? Is she and her family not made to take all from the husband? Others say the praise is patronising and self benefiting to the husband.
