Exactly. Her message is if you are single, look good and go out. Don't be antisocial and feel that because you are always in church for different programs always, you don't have to bother about trying to meet people. If your natural hair is okay fly with it, but with a lot of women their natural hair is damaged in one way or the other, so they use wigs. Others prefer wigs because they don't have time to waste on hair styling. Yet others are conserving their natural hair so it rests.And when it comes to wigs some cheap wigs look absolutely hideous. Just look good whatever you decide to do and match with a good character. I feel she was just giving singles her advise based on her opinion.

If your friends and colleagues are going and you are invited then fine, but don't be too desperate that you keep encroaching on people spaces. Don't go out with the motive to snag a man because unknowingly there is this energy a lady gives out when she is on a mission - when she is on a hunt and it isn't attractive, even men can smell that from a distance. So just go out to have fun just because.
Don't wear yourself out jumping from one place to another like a fluttering butterfly looking for where to perch with a target in mind. That is how you see every friendly man who says 'hi' as a potential suitor.

That Nigerian women are addicted to and obsessed with foreign wigs paying millions of naira to wear- other people's natural hair is deeply concerning and sad. If we produce these wigs, then fine but we don't. They are improrted from Asia. If anything, afro textured wigs should be in vogue for us for bad hair days. Not these foreign wigs.

ReplyDeleteWe need to invest and research on how to make our natural hair longer and finer. Most women on natural will do one style and carry it for five months. They will even be bragging on how they have carried the hair for years. I find it disgusting and appalling. As a woman make an effort on either your hair, your skin, your clothes or your face or all. Don't just look buster every other day. Respect yourselves.
For me, I switch between natural hair and wig. I am not a makeup person but these days, I am making am effort. Before Esther appeared in front of the King, she looked her best.
