The lecturer was caught pants down on Monday April 22, 2024 while allegedly trying to GBENSH a female student in exchange for grade.
In a statement made available to DailyPost on Tuesday, signed by Okwun Omeaku, Acting Public Relations Officer of the UNN, he said the university has zero tolerance for s#xual misconduct.
According to the statement, “The indefinite suspension is with immediate effect pending the outcome of a disciplinary panel constituted by the University to investigate the incident.

“As a university, we are committed to protecting our students from any form of abuse and exploitation, and the University Management will not hesitate to punish Mr Mfonobong David Udoudom, according to our rules if he is found guilty by our disciplinary panel.”
“UNN is among the few universities in the country that has a Sexual Harassment Policy, which guides the relationship between our staff and students in particular and among our male and female staff.

One time my project supervisor invited me over to help mark some scripts for another lower level course he was taking.
ReplyDeleteIt was this peak heat period ladies and gentlemen, I got there (his house). Wasn’t odd actually, he was married with young kids, his wife too was a lecturer at our school, another department though.
I got there sweating and couldn’t wait to finish the task and go home to a cold shower. This man came and wanted to fondle me. In minutes, it had become a tussle.
I was so angry and cranky from the heat, I scratched him so bad. He’s fair complexioned and wasn’t wearing a shirt.
He started crying that how will he explain the scratches to his wife? How’s that my business🤷♀️
I broke/spoilt their living room door ‘cause he’d hidden the key and went my way. I did threaten to report to the HOD at the time.
Looking back I think the heat didn’t help. I was cranky and uncomfortable already so him propositioning me like that was annoying. Like, why would you want to take advantage of a student like that? He knew project carried weight and I’d be afraid to say no to avoid extra year. Me wey don get extra already.
A few days later, I saw him at my hostel door, he laid prostrate begging me not to report him. He’d have been in a lot of trouble if I did.
Imagine the disrespect to his wife and kids. In the squalor he called sitting room!! I was so angry.
I honestly don’t have any pity for predators (of any kind). Like someone said, if he did the crime, let him do the time please.
