Saturday Breakfast Post

I am consciously not Breakfasting this Morning........Na by force to eat?

Who has cooked Basmatti rice?Thats the only rice i eat, it cooks so fast. I bought long grain and was shocked at how long it took to cook, so i stopped totally. Its either Basmatti or Jasmine rice....

Asfor these four swallow down there.I can manage the Amala, I have never eaten fufu before, i dont like yam that is pounded and Eba i ate last three years ago.....

  1. Eliminate amala and Eba. Stella hmm, Basmati rice is sweet, but the other is more affordable. People that cook stew and add boiled eggs to it, do you freeze it? If yes, how does the egg taste after?

    1. Freeze? No,just boil and prick the body with fork,so the stew can enter well.the end result is a sweet, hardened egg.
If you try it in sauce, you will love it more.

    2. Mariam, I asked cos all these videos on IG, they cook a big pot of stew for their homes, (not like they are selling it), with boiled eggs, and it makes me wonder how they preserve it.

    4. Okay, you meant preservation,I have never thought about that oooo, mine is eaten at most two days by then it would have changed colour.
Those ones are just creating content because I am not sure one can freeze egg but it should be fine in the fridge.

    7. @Candy, of course you can freeze the stew with the eggs. You just need to leave it to thaw at room temperature. I then gently warm the stew in microwave so the eggs don’t burst.

  22. Stella I laughed so hard when I read that " I was shocked at how long it took to cook" I remember you said you hated beans and didn't know it takes a long time to cook properly, seems you're not a fan of 'long cooking's. You haven't eaten fufu before? Wow. I'm not a fan of pounded yam so maybe I'd choose that one.

Breakfast here is bread and tea.
