  3. If a close friend,

"I am bothered about something. You know if it were someone else, I may not feel obligated to say this because they could misinterpret it, but it's you, so I am safe, right? Besides, I know you know me so well to understand it's coming from a place of love, and I wouldn't like others talking behind your back... you see, when you come around, I can smell your breath and your sweat so strongly, and I am wondering if you think there is a reason for that." Then, depending on the response, we would decide on the next step.

  8. Ha! e go difficult o.
I have had encounters with people with one or both issues and man just clamped up cos I didnt know how to tell them. But I did tell my girlfriend back then. Babe had mouth odour that, depending on the time of day, you don't necessarily need to be close to her to smell her breath.
Fine babe like that o. In fact, I remember one particular day when we were in the back seat of a car and my relative was sitting between us - when babe open mouth to talk, i dey smell am.

    I was embarassed for her.

For a while, I agonised about how to mention it without hurting her feelings cos subtle hints were not working. One day sha, whilst lying on the bed, I kissed her and told her i wanted to tell her something and then kissed her again before telling her

She was extremely embarassed. More so, when I stated it wasn't a one-off thing. It was constant. That, in fact, her mouth was even smelling right then. She was silent for a moment and then I tried kissing her again which babe no gree as she dey evade me, but I insisted.

After the hesitant kiss, na so my babe run enter bathroom go brush - I pitied her teeth that evening cos na like the way way dem dey take wash gutter na so she brush mouth o.😂

After that day, no more mouth odour - maybe she wasnt brushing her tongue well or she wasnt drinking enough water or what. I can't really say but the issue went away sha.

Baba is my wife now. 😊
