    Before I thought psychiatric hospitals are just for mad people but now I know better.
    On Thursday our clinical group's instructor brought us to the electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) room. We had the opportunity to watch multiple patients experience this unique form of therapy, where short seizures are intentionally induced by a psychiatrist and an anesthesiologist.
    I felt odd and skeptical before the first procedure but after watching I felt little comfortable.
    Our instructor informed us about the potential for ECT-induced amnesia. He also explained that many patients who receive ECT actually want to forget events they experienced in the days or weeks prior to therapy.
    Later on I asked some of the patients questions about this form of therapy. Interestingly, they shared positive feelings about ECT.
    People are going through a lot.
    Depression is real.

    The increasing number of women being killed and used for rituals is deeply worrisome.. Gone are the days when a hello baby can I know you" from a guy would make a young lady pause and listen. That hello will develop to something healthy. Now, if you hear a "hello," it's best to pick up your shoes and run. Our security forces must wake up to address this growing threat and the dangerous "get-rich-quick" mentality driving it. There should be immediate prosecution for anyone found in possession of body parts. We are all human beings, and we need one another. As the Bible says, God created them "male and female."
    Male need women and women need men.
    Interacting with strangers these days has become a serious matter of fasting and prayer. May God continue to guide our steps.

      Women have never been safe in Africa, if its not rape, it is murder, or domestic abuse, or forcefully infecting them with HIV or genital mutilation in the name of circumcision.
      Africa has a very long way to go in protecting women and the female child. Religion also does not help!

    Madness in this teaching means "VISION".

    When Joan of Arc announced that she had a revelation from God, her parents were eager to hear what she had to say. She had had a dream in the night. When she said the revelation said she will lead France into war and gain victory for her country, the parents asked one question: Are you mad?

    She was only 17 years old, and she was a girl! Women were not allowed in the army (no matter their age). France was losing the war against England and the entire army was heavily demoralized. Many were refusing to go to battlefront even though they were trained soldiers. Everything and everyone were against Joan. But she stood with her madness.

    Sooner or later, her madness brought her before the army general who reluctantly agreed to give her a uniform. The next day she rode into the army camp on horseback raising the banner of France. That day, France defeated the England army under her motivation and courage. For two years she became the magic of France and turned the hands of the war.
