Akintunde was watching basketball and his neighbor keionna McGowan was disturbing him with her loud music. He went over to her apartment and asked that she tune down her music.
Akintunde allegedly banged on her door, McGowan claimed the banging made her afraid . She agreed to turn down the music but the situation took another turn when Akintunde started kicking her door and she thought he might break in so in that moment she took her gun and opened fire on Akintunde. She shot him once on the stomach and he died at the scene of the argument.
Seeing what she had done, McGowan screamed for help and officers came to the scene where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy conducted showed that the impact of the gunshot was severe, it pierced through several of his organs.
If convicted she risk spending 25 years in prison and for the possession of a dangerous weapon another 5 years could be added to her sentence or the option of a $100,000 fine.

Canada has more legal guns than the US yet there are way less fewer deaths from guns there so it’s just the people. The US is full of people with racist ideologies in their head coupled with propaganda and wrong interpretation of gun laws.

Deletet first I was regretting my decision to move to Canada instead of USA cus of visa rejection . But this recent election tells me na blessing in disguise o. The us has more opportunities yes n Canada na village compared to US, but what those people are going thru in the us now is no child’s play in terms of not being able to walk around w/o fear of gun, fear of being kidnapped by ICE, having free speech (arrest of pro Palestine) or afford groceries or have peace of mind that u won’t get deported as a green card holder /even citizen . A lot of Canadians cancelled their travel plans to USA cus they r seriously searching people’s phone at immigration n customs when entering the USA n detaining them if they find anything considered pro Palestine or anti-American.

Even when I call concierge to report Awon weyrey go ask which room number. Of course I lied about my room number 😂😂 cus them fit tell the guy . The noise started back up again. I said no wahala and called animal Control the second time. In less than a month na so I see the guy dey carry bags move out of the apartment. Hallelujah! And it was all solved without any fight or confrontation. Even when I see the guy walking the dog I will stop n smile at the dog pretending to be happy. 😆 na so oyinbo dey solve their problems too o for here. Smile for front n report you at the back . Keonna McGowan is a cashier at a grocery store, probably a stereotypical “Akata”, a term used for ghetto African Americans (most African Americans are NOT Akatas). I pray God comforts his family🙏🏾 For whatever it’s worth please avoid living in the ghettos of America. He lived there because of his good heart, he served the poor in the Milwaukee area and probably preferred to live among them though as the head of dentistry in his workplace he could afford to live in a safer area.

I think a white person is highly more likely to kill you as a black than an African American. Check the stats, go step on the lawn of a white man and see if he doesn't have several guns ready. It's wickedness though but culturally to them its their right, but I learned early on in this country to avoid confrontations of any kind because they usually respond to altercations with guns.

No guns found on him or weapons to claim that level of self defence. She was the one that opened to door to "his kicking" she could have warned him she would call police, or that she had a gun. Delete@17:50, it doesn't matter if she is lying. A court of law is based on evidence and unless the prosecutor provides enough evidence, this lady will walk scot free. The law can only convict someone when "beyond reasonable doubt" - the prosecutor can prove they are guilty of an offense. I notice many people don't really know how the law works

Besides, a lot of people have CCTV cameras, including on their door bells. Some will even see the visitor on their phone. So she should spare us the banging the door story because we are not buying it.
