Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists have killed at least 50 farmers in Malam Karanti village, Kukawa local government area of Borno State. It was gathered on Saturday that the incident happened after the rival Boko Haram fighters ambushed the farmers in the ISWAP controlled area, which is about 9 kilometre from Baga town, on Thursday.

Troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) Jos, Plateau State said it has successfully neutralised two suspected bandits in its sustained onslaughts against criminals in the state. According to Major Samson Zhakom, spokesman of the OPSH in Jos, “On 15 May 2025, based on a tip-off on the movement of bandits along Nemaledu Village in Gimbi District in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State, troops of OPSH laid ambush at the crossing point of bandits in the area.

 Anambra State Police Command said its officers recovered a dead body found hanging on a tree in a bush at Amichi, the Nnewi South Local Government Area of the state. In a statement on Friday, the command’s spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga, said the discovery was made following a call through the deceased’s phone by an unidentified person.
