During this last Jamb examination most students didn't know how to use mouse, most people didn't know to correct a wrong answer, some didn't know how to move to the next subject that's also part of the mass failure
ReplyDeleteStudents need more orientation from Jamb on how to answer questions
It would have been a great idea if Jamb can allow a demo which helps students prepare at their own pace.
DeleteNot all schools are well equipped especially public schools.
DeleteAbi like SAT and the likes even TOEFL has computer practice questions
DeleteBut how can you register for exams that require computer knowledge and you don't know how to use mouse. What did you now go there to do ???
DeleteHmmm 🤔🤔🤔
ReplyDeleteAs a matter of urgency, computer science should be incorporated into the syllabus of secondary education with a functional laboratory to aid learning. The way the students failed in Jamb, it’s not like they don’t know what they read but because it’s a CBT and some are alien to these computer usage.
ReplyDeleteI pray our country Nigeria gets it because we’re taking first from the back.
Nigeria is a country for only the privileged. Poor or average people struggle to survive which is terrible. As a middle manager I know how it was if not for God and family inheritance/support that salary; mine and hubby alone couldn't manage us as a family with some remainder for savings
DeleteHow does the education board expect students to do CBT when all their years of school they've never used a computer before, some schools don't offer computer science at all, some don't even have functioning computers

DeleteI look forward to the day our educational system will be revamped. The standard is on a downward slide. Teachers, parents, students and all stakeholders must be committed to this.
ReplyDeleteUmmmmm 🤔
ReplyDeleteLet me use this medium to complain as a parent.
ReplyDeleteI'm not getting why a private school with computer laboratory will not teach their students computer and the school fee covers for everything.
What's the essence of enrolling one's child in such private schools if they only focus on maths, English and other such subjects without other skills involved?
I don't get if it's laziness from the school management or pure negligence.
You have the computers but you don't teach? You limit your teaching to just the junior secondary school? In this age that everything boils down to using computer?
Yes, I'm calling out winners academy in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state and other private schools.
If you don't have we understand you don't have it, but since it's available, what's stopping you?
This complaint should be channelled to the school authority. When last was the PTA meeting held? It"s an avenue to lodge your complaints as a parents, if you're not getting value for what you paid for, you have every right to complain and possibly remove yours child from the school if there is no positive result in the long run.
DeleteThank you God's favor
DeleteWetin them go teach u for class dey difference from the question wey u go see for exam hall.
ReplyDeleteNigeria educational systems is in a shambles. Most of what they are producing now are half baked.
ReplyDeleteDays are gone when you see students, you see glory.
Some of them their behaviors alone are not better than ' agbero ' people.
Hmmm, this is an eye opener, just reading all these comments, I will make sure that any school my child is going to, must use computers steady.
