Over 200 Nigerians murdered in cold blood in Benue, and the governor of the state just sits in the capital, reels out statistics of the dead and injured, while issuing empty threats to the perpetrators and fake promises to curb the menace. SMH!
ReplyDeleteThe president of the nation, has not even paid a visit to the state, to see things for himself, sympathize with the families of the victims, and then take a decisive step to fish out the terrorists behind this evil, and deal with them mercilessly.
In saner climes, where human life is VALUED above all else, 1 life is important, not to talk of hundreds of lives. And the leadership at both state and federal level act fast! But not in Nigeria. Instead, we are seeing campaign posters for an election that is supposed to happen in 2 years time. That's their priority, and nothing else matters. Shame!
I am not one to Japa, or even consider it. But I really don't blame those who want to. No one at government level, gives a sh!t about you in Nigeria. We are absolutely ON OUR OWN! It's our sad reality!
You provide your water, electricity, security and every goddam thing!

DAY FORTY-ONE IS COMING

But day forty-one was coming! After forty days of rain, God gave humankind a new start. After forty days of Goliath's threats, God gave David a great victory. After forty days of temptation, 'Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside' (Luke 4:14 NIV).
God has ordained victory for you. Don't give in to fear and despair. Don't give up, and don't run. You may have taken a few hits and carry a few scars, but God will bring you through and make you stronger and wiser if you trust him and stand on his word. The Bible says, 'He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world' (1 John 4:4 NKJV). The power at work within you is greater than the circumstances that surround you and the foes that oppose you. So, the word for today is: rejoice - day forty-one is coming!

Okay so I finally watched Straw. Watched with hubby and the children last night.
Sigh, honestly, i’m with Fidel on this one, 100%. I share her exact sentiments. I kept asking myself, Wait... what's the hyping about gan gan? Based on the reviews (and as a certified cry baby), i was fully prepared. tissue in hand, ready to bawl my eyes out. But to my surprise, not even one single tear threatened to fall. In fact, I was just counting down for it to end 😩
It’s not that it’s a terrible movie, no. It just didn’t do it for me. That whole bank wahala? Too exaggerated, abeg. It felt like a long episode of overthinking with background music 😂
Meanwhile, hubby loved it and was deeply moved . Infact he said he almost cried at some point. I just looked at him like shuo 😅
Apparently it touched him because it reminded him of his childhood with his single mum, he even started analysing it like one film critic and giving Tyler accolades. Honestly, it was a proper case of one man's food is truly another man’s 'please, can we skip to the end?'😂
The children were with me sha, they were also like, 'it’s just there'.

ReplyDeleteYou see how she asks the holy spirit for direction before she makes any decision or reacts over issues? That is how a child of God should surround their life. That kind of Holy Spirit can't be found in those pastors like Ibiyomi, Enenche, Paul Adefarasin, Winners G O, etc. They will not hesitate to respond violently or harshly without directive from the holy spirit, yet they claim to be God's Representatives on earth. People we look up to to guide us on how to be like Jesus. I was invited by someone to a church and all the pastor was exhibiting in the church was control, anger, and over reaction. I had to tell the person that invited me that I cannot fellowship in this kind of atmosphere.(Is this the church you told me that I will enjoy? because of miracle? I am not a miracle seeker bro. I can't, fellowshipping here will lower my spiritual vibration instead of making me better. I am looking for where to fellowship but I keep seeing these types. God forbid. I never fellowshipped in this kind of atmosphere during my formation days.Imagine someone that I hoped to learn something from saying to someone that he will ignore the fact that he's a pastor and deal with someone mercilessly and latter come back to God for repentance, afterall he's human. Many people I know who don't show relationship with God or read bible everyday can effortlessly ignore certain things that many of these pastors cannot ignore . This is not how it should be. There is this guy that is always claims not to have interest in church things, I don't know if he's joking or not because his character and way of life is so clean. I saw how people trolled him then in our Whatsapp group and how he reacted very positively and sometimes I say 'the way this guy reacts to people people's abuse needs to be studied because it's very difficult to find a Nigerian pastor that can take half of what this guy has taken from people. We really need to learn from Ifunanya. Na so I be before o, but I say make I tear eye small , wetin self🥱
Most of Nigerian pastors aren't living examplary lives, most of them are fake and are just after tithe and offerings with fake prophecy and fake miracles.
