Motherhood is still stealing my sleep. Last night, I barely slept for up to 3 hrs, thanks to these girls constantly waking up and I still had to wake up early today.
ReplyDeleteOr is it the headache that comes from being with them sometimes.
But in all, I’m grateful for them and won’t have it any other way. This phase eventually passes, we just have to hang in there until it does!
In as much as I'm grateful for the blessings of being a Mum, I still need to say that it's been a heavy task.
ReplyDelete- I don't sleep or rest well as before. 😞
- I did the big chop by cutting my lengthy hair that won't stop breaking. I left it for 8 months without relaxing it so I can transition to natural hair. I'm now rocking my short natural hair, though in boxed braids. Let me start all over again.😊
My children are picky eaters and it is annoying, there is no day I prepare one meal for the whole house, I must fix something else for the kids and if they don't eat it, I'll have to eat it so it doesn't waste meaning extra calories for me. I am exhausted!!!!
ReplyDeleteInsufficient sleep
Adding weight due to stress and eating their leftovers.
Constant headache
Hair loss(my front hair is finished)
Permanent eye bags and always worrying if I am doing my best as a mum.
It's an unending circle but I am grateful to God for them, can't wait until they are 10/11 so I can fling them to boarding school.
In the name of God i beg of you don't enroll your kids in a boarding school cos boarding school of today is not like boarding school during our own days. We will not cry of sorrow over our kids in Jesus name. Amen.
DeleteYou see that toddler phase, I can not describe the stress that comes with it...
ReplyDeleteMy baby girl does not eat much, I have tried everything, including medication to make her eat, so she depends 100% on br3ast milk at a year and 3 months old...
Then, combining motherhood with hustling, hmmmmmmm
May we all reap the fruit of our labor...
We God preserve our lives to witness our children's greatness, cos that's the Joy of motherhood..
I am super grateful 🙏 for the privilege to enjoy 😊 motherhood..
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine will say, "there's nothing like after this phase we'll have peace o, after this phase na old age" hahahaha 😂😂
ReplyDeleteMotherhood is a blessing
It is very sweet being called mummy
But one must pay the price
Hmmmm, I dint sleep much anymore, My baby has to feed at night, and since he doesn't breast feed(he weaned himself at 3 months) I have to wake and make pap with enough soybeans and milk, But the good thing is that he doesn't cry whenever he's hungry, He will bump into me several times until I wake up.
ReplyDeleteNow the crawling stage, Ah🤦, I run around the house every day , I have removed everything that can be dangerous to him, Infact, I now shout like a market woman, 'leave there' but for where, He will look at me, give me the cutest smile ever and continue with his mischief.
Mother hood isn't easy at all, but I wouldn't trade it for anything else.
In all thy doings as a mother, just try and have a house help, treat them like your own and they will stay for long.
ReplyDeleteAlso get utensils that makes work easier.
May we all reap the fruit of our labor.
May God preserve our lives so that we can witness our children's greatness, for this is the joy of motherhood.
