INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD 

It's been around two and a half years since my C-section, and I still occasionally experience pain at the incision site. This usually occurs after engaging in strenuous activities, but lately, it's been happening more frequently. 

Unfortunately, it's one of the reasons I had to pause my running training. I had hoped that by this time, the pain would be completely gone, but I was mistaken. I spoke with a few others who have had C-sections, and one person mentioned that she still feels twinges of discomfort at her scar area even twenty-two years after having her last child. 

I'm surprised to learn how common this is. My online research shows that while it's not typical to experience pain after so many years, it is very common among women who have had c-section done. Often enough that unless the pain is severe and accompanied by other symptoms, not much is done about it. 

I've been advised to get more rest, increase my vitamin intake to boost my immune system, and consider seeing a physiotherapist who specializes in scar tissue massage. 

I genuinely feel we women keep quiet way too much about what we really go through bringing children into the world, like almost everyone I talked to was experiencing this and also had accompanying back pains, and they had just learned to live with the pain and move on with life. 

Even the doctors say that if it isn’t caused by hernia, fibroid, or endometriosis, little can be done. Well, I will be resting more for the next few days and pampering myself a little more because what on earth, and why on earth, do women have to deal with all these issues!!!! (Side eyes at Eve, she did us dirty.)

Hahahahahhahaha wetin Eve do nah........

Maybe you should change gbenshing style too......

I still feel pains there 19 years after my last C-section...its not really pain but something like it.......

TEACHER LIFE

School has closed for the term, and honestly, I am grateful.

Because if you know, you know — that last week alone can finish somebody.

But with every end of term comes a special kind of phone call.

Different parents. Same message.

“Ah, my child did not do well in exams. He will not repeat oh, come what may. So you better know what you are doing with him before this session runs out.”

I always pause when I hear it.

Because… where do I even start from?

Earlier in the term, I called.

“Ma, he is struggling, please follow up at home.”

Homework? Not done.

Books? Torn to shreds.

Open day? No show.

Extra support? No response.

Silence.

But now that results are out…

It is urgent.

Now it is serious.

Now it is somehow… my responsibility to “fix it” before promotion time.

I understand the fear.

Nobody wants their child to fall behind. Nobody wants to hear “repeat.”

But learning is not something we rush at the end like exam revision.

It is built slowly — day by day, effort by effort, both in school and at home.

Because the truth is, by the time results are out…

We are not starting the conversation.

We are seeing the result of everything that was — and wasn’t — done.

And at that point, no amount of last-minute pressure can replace a whole term of missed support.

So when that call comes in, I listen.

I respond calmly.

But in my head, I’m always thinking the same thing:

We can’t cram a whole term… into a phone call.

LOL @ cram a whole term into a phone call...... I was not the most brilliant but i never repeated a class and i thank God for that cos i know a lot of people who repeated despite being very intelligent....

When i took waec, i passed all my papers at one sitting having changed to arts from sciences a week before the final exams...It was a big shock that i would not resit it..All the friends i left behind in sciences did not score enough to get into University...some went for resits and i dont know how far with some till now....

Did you ever repeat a class? You can gist us in anon mode if you think they will troll you with it..........

Teachers have a gift to impart knowledge, because how does one teach? i still find the hardest things to do.....If you are a teacher on this blog eh......Your reward will be here on earth during Xmas by Gods grace....make i begin save small small for una......Only teachers with known blog ids oooooooooooooooo..

NOTORIOUS FOR JESUS

My neighbor found a lady that comes to wash and clean for her twice a month, it’s a single room so there’s not much work to do, the only work is to wash clothes and clean the room. They bargained 10k for that twice a month, my neighbor provides everything she needs to get her job done.

We have 6 flats and all of us started using the woman. Some pay her 15k, some 20k, some bargain 12k, depending on the job she’s doing for them. She also gets freebies from people here, clothes, shoes, foodstuffs, she takes the empty bottle water containers, we all assemble them for her, it became an unwritten rule to always do that, sometimes some neighbors help pay her child’s school fees too. Plenty of things to gain apart from what they pay her.

I don't need her cos I prefer to give my clothes, bedsheets and duvets to dry cleaners so they can wash and iron at once, I take my time to clean my apartment myself too. I called her to wash our bathroom one day and didn’t like the job she did but I paid her and didn’t complain, I just knew I can only call her when I’m too tired to clean it myself. It’s not much work because I clean. Maybe because she felt the place was neat and I wouldn't notice, she didn’t do a good job.

I have sha used her services 3 times after the first time, I see it as a way of showing support, I also don’t hesitate to give her things I have no need for too.

Now, the issue is that the lady who brought her told us that the woman said she

 won’t be working for her again because her pay is too small. 

Huh!

But through this lady you’ve gotten other jobs in this same compound that pays well, at least every month you walk away with more than a 100k doing little cleaning here and there plus freebies.

No wam!

Anyway, my neighbor got a new cleaning lady and everybody don dump the other lady and began to use the new one.

Sometimes, wisdom is profitable to direct!

WAIT.....she wanted to drop one person that was paying her 10k but got others for her?now she lost everyone...lol

WHAT MEN DONT REALISE ON TIME 

He might not be cheating… but he’s not choosing you either. He’s not putting in the effort, not planning dates, not checking in, not doing the little things that make you feel wanted.

It dies when you feel alone while still in the relationship. When you’re loyal, present, and trying, but the energy isn’t being matched. And by the time they notice you’re distant, your heart has already been grieving what the relationship used to be.
