The BV says
''Stella I remember when I visited an acquaintance and she was washing clothes in the living room. I was so shocked and she was also surprised that I found it strange.
She asked where I washed clothes and I said in the bathroom, she said that was strange
We were both shocked and I am more shocked till date because I don’t think that’s normal.
Do you wash your clothes in the bedroom/living room/bathroom?

DeleteAnon, she may not necessarily live in a self-con. Some Nigerian houses have their washing machine in the kitchen. That's how ours is, but over here in the US, we have it in the laundry room.
DeleteShe has mental problem

ReplyDeleteI wash in the bathroom cos the running water..I hate fetching water from the drum for anything, I get really worked up if my tap in the kitchen or bathroom isn’t running
ReplyDeleteI know someone that washes in the bedroom, very weird behavior
Me I wash outside close to the rope where we spray clothes after washing them, it's very easy for me because both water and where to spray the clothes are at the same place..

ReplyDeleteI wash in the bathroom or outside
ReplyDeleteI hate washing in the bathroom, so I do the laundry at the back of our building where we have tap.
ReplyDeleteHave enough space after My room . Thats why i wash.
ReplyDeleteI wash in the bathroom.
ReplyDeleteSome people are not okay at all. I know someone that wash her clothes in a one room apartment. She cooks in the room. It's a face me I slap you house. I asked her why, she said the people in that compound are dirty. Haaaaaaaaa! She nko? Very weired being. We don't talk again since then.

Adunni
Me I wash outside o.
ReplyDeleteBalance Wella for pavement with music blasting from my phone and the running tap, I wash and sing along.
Washing is my favorite chore π
The sing along is very important. I do this when washing and when mopping the tiles. It makes the chore go very well. You can even break dance or twerk at your favourite song π
DeleteI do laundry in my bathroom or downstairs
ReplyDeleteI do my laundry in the bathroom or back of the house close to the tap and rope. Laundry is one house chores I dislike but just manage to do it when no light to use the washing machine.
ReplyDeleteI have seen a friend doing her laundry in her living room cos of watching movies.
Yes, I think it's because of the TV.
DeleteI’ve always washed my clothes in the bathroom - even before we had a washing machine. And honestly, I still do! Thankfully, we’ve always had spacious bathrooms, so it’s never been an issue.
ReplyDeleteBut if you live in a face-me-I-face-you kind of place? Handwashing in the living room would definitely raise some eyebrows. On the other hand, if you’re in a small room or a mini-flat with a cramped bathroom, you might have no choice but to make do. Sometimes, the living room becomes your laundry space - just one of those little compromises you learn to live with.
I do it any where o.
ReplyDeleteI wash outside
