In Nollywood movies, he got so many armed Robber scripts that soon his fans only saw him as a thief and would point at him to say ''See that thief'' instead of ''See Chinedu''
Well, he is no longer in the acting business and his explanation makes sense....

“I Left Nollywood Because They Kept Giving Me ármed Róbber Roles I was okay playing the bád boy, hîtman, and th8ef roles at first… until fans started pointing at me off camera and shouting, ‘See that thîef from film’ There are certain roles you play in movies that make people see you like that in real life.
The wórst part? I live a very responsible life. I’m educated. I tried to beg directors to give me different roles — something softer, maybe a lover boy or even a pastor but no Every script was about g7ns, bl9od, and prîson.
At one point I asked myself, ‘Is this who I really am?’ I knew I could do better, so I walked away.

DeleteAnon 08:36. I think if you, with your pretty face can be as insensitive in your comment as you sound, he can play a lover boy role. Remember he is human and God took time to create him

DeleteI do remember him😁, Good thing he walked away, which one is thief role always. 🤦
ReplyDeleteThat's the role that suits him, maybe he wants to act as igwe or bank manager, the perfect roles for him includes armed robber, hired assassin, cult leader, conductor/tout,
ReplyDeleteGood thing that you left Nollywood since you are not comfortable with roles given to you.
Its a good thing you left 👌
ReplyDeleteU have made the best decision, if it has reached the point people are pointing at u as a movie thief. But the Koko is if u are doing well than then.

DeleteThe directors didn't do well. They could have at least tested him with other roles.
ReplyDeleteNeesolah
Na this one be the typical case of stereotyping.
ReplyDeleteHe does have a tough, don't mess with me look though😅
ReplyDeleteGood idea..
ReplyDeleteIt's like that other actor who only play gateman roles. I hate typecasting so much. Glad he put his dignity and mental wellbeing ahead of camera time.
ReplyDeleteThat's the problem of the entertainment industry. Stereotypical. 🙄🙄🙄
ReplyDeleteBut that's the role that fits him..he should be more concerned about his pay..this is make belief and having your signature prints

ReplyDeleteAsin eeh 😂. I laughed so hard 😂😂

ReplyDeleteIt's like giving Iya Gbonkan or Abeni Agbon prophetess or pastor's roles, it won't work, I think the roles they were given you fitted you more.
ReplyDeleteNollywood and streo typing 5&6.
ReplyDelete🤣😂🤣😂I don laugh tire
ReplyDeleteGlad he worked away from what he didn't like
ReplyDelete*walked* away...not .."worked" away
DeleteNollywood is fond of the practice of putting actors in the exact same role regardless of which movie. It requires less and less skill to repeat the exact role and reduces the entertainment value to viewers.
ReplyDeleteFor instance I like Wumi Toriola and Mide Martins but find it boring to see them do exactly the same thing from one movie to the other. I like the way Biodun Stephen explores the range of her actors, using Wumi in a completely different role in “When a family hurts” where she played the role of a calm mannered level headed rich younger sister to an entitled older sibling. She also uses Jessica Obadiah in different roles, exploring their range.
This guy has a point, Nollywood directors and producers are so lazy they have become uncreative.
Good decision 👍
