‎Benue State IDPs Block Highway And Demand Return To Ancestral Homes

Vehicular movement along the Yelwata axis of the Benue–Nasarawa highway was brought to a standstill on Wednesday as Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, staged a protest, demanding immediate return to their ancestral homes.

‎The protesters, believed to be victims of persistent attacks by suspected herdsmen, blocked both lanes of the busy highway for several hours, chanting “We want to go back home”.
‎The protest caused disruption, leaving hundreds of motorists and passengers stranded.

  1. Benue people should start defending themselves and stop waiting for the government to defend them, because I don't think government are ready to do anything for them except sympathizing with them every time they are attacked.
If herdsmen or bandits killed hundred, they should stop running from them and face them and make sure they kill at least eighty, if not all of them in retaliation, the herdsmen or bandits will think twice before they attack them, because they will know that not all of them will come back alive, it's because no any repercussions after their deadly missions, that's why they're always courageous to attack them.

    1. Did you read the story of the farmer in the North East that was sentenced to death for killing a herdsmen that attacked him on his farm?
How do you even defend yourself against people with sophisticayed weapons and who seem to have the backing pf the govt?

  3. Oh dear, I really feel pity for these people. No one deserves this mental and physical torture.

If one can't find solace at home, then where else?
I hope something is done fast about their plight.

  5. It is their own blood and kinsmen that are letting them down. David Mark is from Benue and was in the Senate for more than 10 years, now his own children are there so what are they doing? They are just using their people to play politics.
