EX Gov Peter Obi Talks About His Ambition To Be President Of Nigeria

Ex Anambra state governor Peter Obi says he does not need more than four years to provide good governance for all Nigerians.
‎

He said:
‎"I don’t need a day more than four years. I will show the direction of good governance.
‎In two years, there have been maximum damage. Two years can change it in good direction. People want to get up and see a president that cares, that shows compassion.
‎I’m going to contest for the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and I believe I am qualified for it."

‎When asked whether he was considering becoming the running mate to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in the 2027 election.

‎Obi said:
‎“This is not in play; nobody has ever discussed that. People assume so many things. Nobody has ever discussed with me whether I am going to be A or B or C.”

‎The former Anambra State governor stressed that he remain a vibrant member of the Labour Party though he is an active member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition adopted by the opposition to unseat President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who is eyeing a second term of four years in office in 2027.

‎“I am part of the coalition which will be able to produce a president with the capacity and compassion to save this country,” he said.

  1. I'm very sure all of you don't want to be a President because you care for Nigeria, it's because of power and selfish interest and ambition, including you that is talking, that's how you politicians will be promising heaven and eternal lives, until you attain the positions and start doing the opposite, all of you will be alright last last.

    1. Thank you@Grateful Soul.
Our politicians are bereft of ideas to make the country great; needless to say that are selfish and corrupt almost beyond redemption

Sir Peter Obi may have the will to steer the country in the path of progress, but what about many unscrupulous politicians in the country who benefit from sabotaging Government's efforts?

    2. Tinubu o, Peter Obi o, Atiku o, Wike o, El rufai o and the rest, are all deceitful, wicked and opportunistic politicians. Apart from Prof Yemi Osinbajo and Dr Datti Baba-Ahmed (PO's former VP candidate), I don't know any other decent and truthful politician in current day Nigeria.

  2. God please wipe our tears as a nation with a credible leader. People are really going through a lot in this country.

    The economy is in shambles.

    1. Amen.

      @The Beloved One.

The time is almost here when God will turn the economic situation around for Nigerians.

What will set the pace for a Universal Basic Income system (UBI) will make headlines very soon.

  3. Nigerians be deceiving themselves. Every economy in the world is in trouble at the moment, and great countries are struggling. The only thing that makes our worse is the insecurities caused by Fulani's herdsmen and kidnapping. And they are self inflicted by our corrupt politicians who doesn't want power to leave their region. It would have been better for us to go our separate ways. And with the way things are going, we will still explore that alternative in the future, because how can you walk together with someone who doesn't want to move forward? Breeding like rabbits without means of training them?

    1. You day mind them.

Reno said Nigerians only understand eba and rice . I looked down wondering why would I have to agree with Reno on such a statement? A man who needed 8 years to run a small state like Anambra now has a 2 year panacea for the whole of Nigeria.

The save people looking for Stella to dash then money have but commented on the crash in the price of beans, rice, the save agbado and over crops. No news on the tens of bandit top hunchos that have been neutralised in the post few months. Nothing on subsidized health services for dialysis which is such a game changer. It's only to be dragging with those in Gaza for who suffer pass.

  4. Why can't these people give him the benefit of doubt. Do they know what we don't know. From his antecedents as a governor and business man, his records and hands are clean. Any allegations against him he counters it with proofs and clear evidence.

    Wetin Igbo do cabals?

  5. I trust HE PO over thousands of psychiatric patients parading as politicians in Nigeria. He has the vision, compassion and will to do the right thing. He already overcame greed. He doesn't receive any perks as ex governor. He rejected everything and is still committed in helping educational and health institutions with his private money.
