TikToker Shamsodium has been remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre by Justice Ibrahim of the Federal High Court in Lagos following his arraignment on a three-count charge bordering on conspiracy, cyberstalking, and character assassination. The charges stem from alleged defamatory statements made against the late singer Mohbad’s widow, Omowunmi.
According to the prosecution, Shamsodium was accused of tarnishing Omowunmi’s reputation by displaying placards with inscriptions such as “Wunmi Killed Mohbad!” and “E No Go Better For Wunmi,” which were deemed damaging and libelous.
Shamsodium pleaded not guilty to all the allegations. His lawyer made an oral plea for bail, explaining that she had not been able to file a formal bail application as the charge sheet was only served on the day of the arraignment. However, Justice Ibrahim declined the oral request and instructed that a formal written bail application be submitted instead.
With the court now on its annual vacation, the matter has been adjourned to September 25, 2025, for the commencement of trial.

May you guys never have a case that court vacation would not be used to delay to your loss.
