ReplyDeleteDear Stella, have you heard about the recent recruitment scandal at the newly upgraded Federal University of Education, Pankshin, Plateau State? On the 27th June, 2025, the school published in one of the national newspapers that it is recruiting for lecturers (Assistant lecturers - lecturer I positions). Many people applied within the stipulated two weeks. Gist on campus had it that recruitment had already been conducted, where slots were shared to politicians and the school only advertised to cover the irregularity. 7 days after closure of submission of cvs, appointment letters began to emerge on Facebook and the fortunate ones were celebrating. Do you know the most annoying thing? Some politicians were even celebrating and calling those who applied as fools.
ReplyDeleteThere was no call for either aptitude test or even interview, yet those with godfathers were employed. It's annoying that someone borrowed money from me to print out ten copies of his cv's and also pay for his transportation to the school.
