He posted an appreciation message to supporters on his radio station following a recent fire that gutted Fresh FM 105.9 and Blast FM 98.3 in Ibadan, and he questioned why many of his most heartbreaking experiences are linked to the same month.
He said
"There is something I don’t understand. Some years ago, my immediate younger brother had an accident and died on August 2. Also, seven years ago on August 19, my Music House was demolished. Now on August 15, 2025, my radio stations caught fire. It was the men of God who came to pray for me that called my attention to this. Why always August? I don’t know what is going on,”.....
Despite the recurring setbacks, Ayefele expressed gratitude to God and his well-wishers, saying their support continues to give him strength during difficult times.

ReplyDeleteSo when I was in uni... there is a particular day, 2 consecutive years in a row, when I would just always have the weirdest, most hard knocked existence (Thank God, now i cannot even recall the date)... but when I went to school day X in year 1 and had a really shitty day including a 1hr trek back to the hostel, because miraculously no bus after a late afternoon class (shout out to IUO in the mid 2000s), and the same shitty, even worse day the exact date a year later... I took cue and come rain or brimstone, I did not go to class or anywhere for that matter, on that date in my year 3 and 4... I marked it as my ill luck day.
ReplyDeleteIn retrospect, it might all just be coincidental, but who knows... God might have been warning me or calling my attention to it in order to save me from something worse. I would probably still act the same even now.
It is well with you Ayefele
