A man identified as Mfana Ngwenya is accused of unalifing his girlfriend, Kgaogelo Nnonu, and uploading a video of her body on social media. The incident reportedly took place in the early hours of Thursday, August 21, 2025.
Early accounts suggest that Ngwenya accused Nnonu of cheating before repeatedly slashing her throat. He allegedly recorded the attack, shouting at her as she struggled, and later shared the footage on Facebook. 
The video was eventually removed.
Following the killing, Ngwenya is said to have returned to Facebook to justify his actions. In his posts, he accused Nnonu of betrayal but also claimed he would “love her forever.”
In July, Ngwenya had posted a message hinting at emotional struggles and feelings of despair, writing about pain, goodbyes, and not having enough time with his children. This has led many to believe the murder may have been premeditated.
