A woman identified simply as Amaye has been lynched and set ablaze by Muslim youths in Niger State for allegedly making blasphemous remarks against Prophet Muhammad.
It was gathered that the incident occurred Saturday evening in Kasuwan-Garba town in Mariga Local Government Area of the state.
According to multiple reports, the victim, a food vendor, was accused of making the unwanted remarks at her restaurant after a customer jokingly expressed interest in marrying her, citing the tradition of the Prophet.
Reports indicated that the woman was earlier whisked to the palace of the District Head of Kasuwan-Garba by residents to forestal the plans of the mob.
However, the District Head reportedly handed her over to security operatives for investigation but the mob pounced on her after overwhelming the operatives.
Chairman of Mariga LGA, Abbas Adamu Kasuwan-Garba, who confirmed the incident, said normalcy had been restored in the town.
Spokesman of the Niger State Police Command, SP Wasiu Abiodun also confirmed the development.
Abiodun noted that the woman “was set ablaze before the reinforcement of the security teams”.
“Meanwhile, efforts are being made to ensure that arrests are effected, investigated and prosecuted,” the police spokesman added.

But their sisters normally support them or they thought it won’t get to them?
ReplyDeleteMmmmmmm. Make person no just talk. As they refused to do anything to the murderers of Deborah, why won’t this barbarism in the name of religion continue?
ReplyDeleteMay her soul rest in peace!
Kai! This is not nice please 😩
ReplyDeleteThis wickedness hidding under religion, some people are just heartless, stupid and mad at the same time, unfortunately they they will not be punished for this act because same reason they believe they killed for will be the reason they will leave them to live. Brain washed souls
ReplyDeleteWe shouldn't be sharing the same country with these cretins. For God sake what is this? I can't believe the government are tacitly encouraging and supporting this gruesome murder else perpetrators won't go free. Are Christians less human that these Muslim mob will keep on lynching them in the name of religion. First it was Deborah. Now it's Amaye. Whose turn will it be tomorrow?
ReplyDeleteIt will never be well with Lord lugard and his side chic for joining the northern and southern protectorate together. This is barbaric in a modern age. When do humans now start fighting for God?

My God 😲, what a barbaric religion ðŸ˜
ReplyDeleteSo sad
ReplyDeleteMay her soul rest in peace
The mob overpowered security operatives huh? I suppose the normally trigger happy policemen seem to have found Christ? Of course they can't open fire on a rampaging mob since it is in the north.
ReplyDeleteIf it is in the south now, you'll see security agents going all gong-ho. Rubbish.
I think I have a good idea of what her response might have been. So tragic. If only she knew to have weighed her words. RI P lady.
ReplyDeleteWe never really get to hear what the person said. And so the people just pounce on a human in the defence of their deity and just kill. It is well. She is not here to say what she said.
ReplyDeleteOut of this event, hundreds of them will come to know the Lord. Her death can never be in vain.
Why are these people carrying out judgment on behalf of their prophet? That someone can be burnt alive just for what she said is scary, When will this wicked act stop? Rip Amaye😔
ReplyDeleteWhat a country!!!! Security operatives were overwhelmed or the handed her to them??
ReplyDeleteReinforcement came and no one was arrested. They are just making plans to arrest!!
God forbid!!!
ReplyDeleteThey keep doing this nonsense because they knew nobody is going to arrest them.
ReplyDelete"Arrest" they said? Hmmm maybe in the next world to come.
ReplyDeleteYou see this judgmental act been carried out on behalf of their prophet is not going to stop.
Back then as a Christian leaving in north, we just mind our business when it comes to their religion. Sometimes they will purposely insult Jesus in our presence or maybe destroy the holy rosary so we could talk ill about their prophet but trust me we don't fall into that trap, what we do is to ignore and become the full for peace to rain. I still don't know why people still falls into their trap when it comes to that (religion matter).
Was in north (sokoto) when Deborah's own happened mind you Deborah was a northern (from zuru in kebbi state) schooling in sokoto but a Christian and she was still killed.
Please if you're a Christian leaving in the north know your boundaries when it comes to anything that has to do with their religion. Even the ones you think they are your friends or the aramanjiries that you do help will be the ones that will first stone you when it happens.
R.I.P AMAYE.

ReplyDeleteNot for the barbaric horde of a death cult
DeleteThe district head should be prosecuted.
ReplyDeleteThe district head oo, the security operatives oo, law enforcement oo, the mob themselves oo, they are all the same. Very wicked and heartless humans. Only God knows what teachings these animals gets in their madrasat
DeleteRest in Peace Amaye
Sadly, nothing will be done to her murderers, they will still live to kpai another in the name of fighting for religion
ReplyDeleteSo they overpowered security operatives? And killed a whole human.
ReplyDeleteWas this not what they did to Deborah? Demonic people.
Any place in d North, aside from Abuja, count me out & I can only go & return Asap. I have practically no business living there & any business transaction that would take me there , better be done via d Internet, no matter d millions involved. I pity civil servants, that are not from there, who are mandated to work there ,but as for business, there are many states that are “juicy options” in d south & East & ur peace & safety is 90% guaranteed . So sad ds woman fell into their hands.
