Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa made a bold and thought provoking statement when he said that every Nigerian should learn combat skills for self-defence.
Sitting as a guest on Channels Television’s Politics Today he emphasized that learning martial arts like Karate, Taekwondo, and Judo should be seen as essential life skills—just like driving or swimming. He said:
“Whether we have war or not, it is a survival instinct.”
There's something about this man. This is the first vocal CDS we have had in all the CDS's I know. It could be a double edged sword.
