Singer KWAM1's Best Friend Bolaji Basia Explains Why He Carries Water Everywhere He Goes

A ValueJet aeroplane nearly ran over veteran Fuji musician, Kwam1, at the Abuja airport where he was scheduled to board a morning flight from Abuja to Lagos on Wednesday.
The flight crew members accused the singer of carrying alcohol in a flash and reportedly deboarded him
Enraged by the development, Kwam1 attempted to stop the aircraft from taking off by standing in front of it but the pilot proceeded with take-off, almost running over the singer in the process...…
KWAM1's best friend Bolaji Basia explains why the singer must always have the flask with him…...

He posted

''I don't ever think I will be saying this in the public but o oye Olorun
Last year during the Canadian tour of K1, I received a call that my friend had been rushed to the hospital.
Pronto, I rushed down and he was sleeping with drips on his hand when i got there,

Percy Ademokun, Prince George the promoter, and others were there.
Couple of minutes later he woke up and said omo, I'm ok, we are just waiting for the doctor to come and tell us the result of the tests.
Not long after that, the doctor came in and said everything is fine that his problem was dehydration and he needs to drink water more often, then she suggested a special brand of water to him for quick hydration.

That was when he bought the cooler bottle that he carries around everywhere he goes with water.
Now, if you are close to K1 you will know he sweats a lot.
As a matter of fact he uses more than 4 handkerchiefs daily.
My point is the content in that cooler that he carries around couldn't have been alcohol based on my experience of how it all started.

Especially when the said incident happened early in the morning after attending a business meeting
On what happened at the Abuja airport, the FAA has said the investigation is on going, let's wait for the conclusion of their investigation.
I want to believe if he had done something terribly wrong, they wouldn't have let him go immediately

NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENED, THE PILOT SHOULDN'T HAVE TRIED TO RUN HIM OVER WITH THE AIRCRAFT!!!
That's my submission.
Thanks''

  2. He's not supposed to go in front of a moving plane naa, that was suicidal. He didn't value his very own life,A man that's sober, won't ever expose himself, like that. 🙄🙄🙄

  3. They just concluded on that without checking the content of the flask?!

    1. You just concluded they did not check or try to check the content of the flask, without reading FAAN's statement.

  4. He shouldn't have gone in front of the moving plane. And the pilot should find a way to calm him instead of wanting to run in over.

  5. What if the plane had run him over?
    God forbid!

    1. Maybe he thinks he is a god.

  7. I don't even understand, there were people standing by the aircraft and the pilot disregarded health and safety and took off just like that., very unacceptable.

They could have ensured Kwam 1 was arrested or escorted away first before taking off.

    1. He refused to be escorted away na. I doubt the pilot could see what was happening on the tarmac

  8. They should have checked what was inside before they concluded na.. and he took a big risk by standing in front of a moving plane..

  9. Airlines have rules. He should have obeyed. What sort of entitlement mentality worries the fake elites of nigeria. Why should they check the content in the bottle. Could he have tried that on an international flight. Please dont let us destroy this country. Agbaya standing in front of the plane to throw tamtrums. You think it is eba yellow you are dealing with?

    1. Some rich Nigerians are so ignorant and full of hubris. Let any of them try nonsense in the US, they will be on the no fly list in a minute. They come to the US and act gentle and humble but return to terrorize the citizenry! It’s not their fault, when the police IG has allocated all of them the remaining active cops in Nigeria, why won’t they feel like the president.🚶🏾‍♀️🚶🏾‍♀️

  10. I wonder where he was going to that was more important than his life. Why not taken your grievances to the appropriate quarters than standing in front of a moving plane. This is different from what FAAN narrated though

  11. Ermmm...

So, who pushed him out of the way or did the pilot later stop the aircraft?

They did not confirm the content of the flask or he refused them to check?

So, there is special brand of water specifically for hydration?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. There are certain brand of water that speed up hydration called electrolytes. Google is your friend. However, all he could have done was to have this in a clear plastic bottle, not more than 100ml.

  12. Both Kwam 1 and the airline staff are wrong..why was the content of his flask wasn’t checked? Him standing in front of the plane for what exactly? So that the plane should not move? And the pilot that wanted to run him over should be questioned

  13. Normal normal..KWAM 1 get pride(
My landlady when we lived in Lagos had a daughter for him...so she used to send me to go give her food when he was still in Okota..I usually meet him when I go there)...if he can't comply with their rules..he should get a private jet...

I am very sure he can afford it

    1. Most very rich folks in Nigeria are over-extended with many wives and tons of children. Private jet parking and maintenance is very expensive, $200,000 to close to a $mil per year in parking alone so only very few can afford it.

    2. I'm also sure in all his travels, he has never tried thia rubbish abroad!

  15. Kwam1, why will you want to stop a moving plane? It is so wrong abeg

  16. This means he has been passing with the flask with other airlines

    1. Yes, I saw videos of his boarding plane with the same golden Stanley flask

      Delete
  17. I've watched the video. He was standing by the side of the aircraft. There's no possible way that the pilot could have known that he was by the side.
It would have been different if he stood in front of the plane and was clearly within the visibility of the pilot.
Blame should rather go to the FAAN officials who did not escort him away, probably out of fear or respect.
He endangered the lives of all the passengers on that plane and should be prosecuted.

    1. You nailed it. People forget that there is something called BLIND SPOT. The pilot cannot have a 360 degree vision....I know where the brazen attitude came from: Lack of respect to authority and he believes he has some backing from the present government...

    2. He also moved to the front of the aircraft

      Delete
  18. They should have checked the content in the flask before throwing him out of the aircraft.
He shouldn't have stood in front of a moving plane.
    All parties were wrong.

    1. My dear, he shouldn't even be carrying a flask. Airlines do not allow you carry liquid on the plane. Time for you to board, you thrash your bottled water.

  19. Standing in front of a plane is a suicide mission, I blame him for that.

    ReplyDelete
  20. He wasn't standing Infront but by the side close to the plane and he wasn't the only person there, airport officials were also there talking with him and the plane suddenly moved.
As for carrying alcohol, I'm not sure if they checked the content to be sure if its really alcohol.

I don't think a man like him should be treated anyhow, he's paid his dues and must be accorded with some respect

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Which useless dues and respect, when he cannot respect airline policies? It's people like you who support such arrogance!

      Delete
  21. Stella you're right the pilot was totally wrong doing what he did. What if he wasn't in his right senses when he did that (going to the front of the aircraft to block them from taking off). What the pilot and the cabin crew should have done was to go down and calm him make him see reasons why they did what they did.

Please to whosoever it may concern don't think everyone on this planet is ok especially in our country Nigeria.

Be your brothers keep... atleast know what's going on in his /her their unexplainable behavior.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Is that why he spilled the content on the airline staff of which they confirmed it’s alcohol? FOH!!
