Fresh 105.9 FM radio, located in Ibadan and owned by gospel musician Mr Yinka Ayefele, was reportedly gutted by fire on Friday night.
Mr Yinka's Response to the fire incident
''We are sad to inform the general public that the the head office of Fresh FM Nigeria, challenge - ibadan was razed by a devastating fire incident this evening, August 15, 2025. In the ensuing mishap, the studios of fresh 105.9 and blast 98.3 were badly burnt with proximal offices like the newsroom, the transmitter/server room and several equipment that got razed during active operations
All efforts to fight the fire before the arrival of the professional fire fighters with our in-house fire extinguishers proved abortive because of the strength of the inferno. We can’t immediately quantify the extent of the damage caused by the devastating inferno, the cause of which is also yet to be ascertained presently. We heartily appreciate every good-spirited Nigerians who joined us in fighting the inferno''

ReplyDeleteThought the curses laid on that governor and his family 7 years ago will make others stay away from Ayefele.
That word "devastating" shifted my heart. He's lost it all in this inferno.

ReplyDeleteNawa o
ReplyDeleteVery sad news.....may God comfort him
ReplyDeleteIts starting to look like insurance fraud .
ReplyDeleteDude invest in fire safety devices, whats wrong with you?
Before pointing fingers, was there professional fire planning and wiring for the building especially as they continue to expand with more equipment?
ReplyDeleteAre safety devices in place: stabilizers, smoke detectors, fire alarms, water storage to battle such outbreaks. These things are important. What's the company's fire safety plan? Are devices switched off and unplugged? Are there surge prevention and management plans etc? These are important to put in place to prevent a recurrence.
May God replenish all that was lost.
