 Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara has declared that he has reconciled with his predecessor and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Chief Nyesom Wike, stressing they are back in alignment. Speaking to journalists after meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House in Abuja, Fubara said his visit was to formally inform the President of his return to office following the expiration of the proclaimed state of emergency in his state.

Nigeria’s gross external reserves have risen to $42 billion, the highest level in six years, according to the latest data released by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). The reserves last stood at this level in September 2019. The increase, attributed to stronger hydrocarbon export revenues and a steady inflow of foreign exchange, comes on the back of a surge recorded in August.

 The Nigerian Correctional Service, NCoS, Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Command, has foiled an attempt to smuggle suspected psychoactive drugs into the Medium Security prison, Kuje. A statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Adamu Duza, said the incident occurred on Saturday about 12:45p.m., when a visitor, identified as Njimogu Ikedi, tried to sneak in substances concealed in his clothing.

This cannot be the first time, maybe dem no settle well.

 Rivers State Police Command said its operatives have arrested three suspected kidnappers who allegedly killed two of their victims after collecting a total ransom of N10.4m. The police said the arrest of the suspects followed a distress call on the kidnapping of another victim identified as Humphrey Wagbara, in Igwuruta-Atali in the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.

What happens to all the kidnapers they arrest? They release them at night or what?
