They assaulted Nancy with heavy sl@ps, kicks and blows before cutting off some of her braids with a sharp object.
After public outcry, the police launched a manhunt and arrested the suspects for assault, attempted murder, grievous hurt, cyber bullying, cyber stalking and abduction.
The State Police Commissioner also initiated a criminal investigation into the incident, to bring the culprits to justice after an exploratory interactive session was held with the victim, which later led to further sessions with some CBOs and gender organizations.
The key suspect identified as Kadi was arrested and she provided useful information that led to the arrest of the other two suspects.
They are currently in detention and will be charged to court when the investigations are through.
