Singer Asake Says Some Nigerians Take Humble Artists For Granted

Singer Asake has opened up on his perception of humility and ego in the music industry.In a video spotted online, he noted that being humble is often mistaken for weakness while displaying ego often tends to make fans and audiences find an artist more appealing.

In his words;

"To me it's a waste of time, people don't really appreciate it.
At the end of the day, life is about your perspective, it's how I think it, it's my perspective, it is how I think it is, it is my work, it is how I feel, I've been around people that I tried to like let them see how I do it but they don't appreciate it
It's just like let me put it this way, if you come to somebody all humble, they take you for granted, but if you have ego, they feel you're not accessible then they like you more, it's like that so people rather see what you're doing than show them oh am doing this, am doing that, they really don't appreciate it, do what you need to do and just go".
