A woman shared how her husband, who lives abroad, installed CCTV cameras all over their home, including the bedroom and children’s rooms. She said the constant monitoring has taken away her peace and left her feeling tired.
She said:
"See CCTV wey my husband install for him house even if I am doing video my husband is seeing it nah this place wey e dey (... pans to the CCTV) dey view everything wey dey happen dey view all my tiktok, dance. He will just be distracting me calling me. All round the house CCTV dey, I don't have peace CCTV is even inside my room, kitchen the only place he didn't put it is inside the toilet.

It’s for security sake. You are alone with the children and maybe he doesn’t trust relatives or anyone. There is high rate of insecurity in the country. So just be happy. If anything happens God forbid, there is evidence to trace any person. You have heard of things happening to people in their homes by relatives and friends. I hard of that girl who was living I America and her father was locked up in the house by his own siblings. If the girl had cctv in the house, her daddy’s sister and brother wnt do such to him. So it’s all for rh good for the sake of the children.

DeleteIf installing the CCTV is truly for security purposes, that’s understandable. But if it’s to monitor her every movement, then it becomes unnecessary, even laughable. In that case, he might as well install cameras on the road, at her workplace, and everywhere else she goes outside the home.
