Pidgin Post - In Laws Brouhaha

My in laws get brouhaha over why their one and only sister no dey go sweep their mama graveside again like before and i am shocked because it is not the culture of my originating country.....


In fact eh most of us dont return to plant any flowers by the gravesides of our parents, we no dey sweep am...

My mum died in the year 2000 and the collapsed grave was only rebuilt during my dads burial 2 yrs back....
Make i dey look how this kind Oyibo brouhaha go end.....
I cannot put mouth for wetin no be my culture, na only to open mouth waaaa for back dey amebo with oga..
I don switch to pidgin because dem go see this post( for Instagram wey i post am sef) come ask why Stella carry dem enter Internet...Abeg I call name? lol

As oga dey comot go work this morning i yarn am say i go do this post, e just laugh say na me sabi....
Him people bin don do meeting for my head some years back say abeg oh, anything wey concern dem family make i no carry am enter internet but as i no sign any document na, i say make i carry this matter wey shock me reach here...

  1. When we buried my father, we just cemented the ground. I dont really know the reason the elders gave. When it was time to properly do the grave, all the kids contributed money equally but my elder brother used the money to do naming ceremony for his kid. When my father started flogging him in the dream, nobody tell am before he ran to arrange the grave.

  5. Anyone concerned about this can also go and tidy the graveside.

    I know of some families that do this in Nigeria in addition to going there to pray and acts of charity to aid their departed ones.

    By extension, since the parents are now dead, who is minding the grandparents' gravesides? This is how burial grounds all over the world have vacancies. Once one site looks abandoned, the ground managers turn it into a bunk bed, if you understand what i mean.
