PR Consultant Toyosi Etim Effiong Recounts How She Caught Her Cook Stealing

Toyosi Effiong PR Consultant and wife of popular actor Etim Effiong has recounted how she caught her cook stealing food and household items every weekend. She thanked God for revealing the theft, celebrated with laughter and praise, and then walked the staff out of her home.

She wrote:

‎"That’s how I caught the cook stealing on Saturday. With all the mouths we’re feeding in that house, someone had been packing my chicken and Egusi home every weekend. I couldn’t help but think that this is why our mothers used to lock the store and keep the key in strange places. Why are you packing my crayfish and the children’s body wash? Rice, plantain, tomato paste, what’s the issue?

‎Then the tears started to flow.
‎“I’m sorry ma. I’m sorry”.

‎I asked someone to bring my tambourine, and I started dancing and laughing and praising because once again GOD had delivered me from an enemy within. A literal kokoro eating the efo had been exposed. O ja s’ope.
‎Rere came to the kitchen to ask why I was happy. I told her I’ll share the testimony with her later.
‎I walked the cook to the gate and bid her farewell."

  1. Kai! Instead of stealing, why not ask instead. And there's something about these people that maneuver things. Once they aren't caught on their first or second attempts, intense greed beclouds their sense of reasoning, making them go deeper and harder

And before we say, what if she isn't paid well, it's not still an excuse to steal.
I guess she's now sorry because she was caught not because she's truly repentant. Na wa!
