ReplyDeleteThis is the result of subsidy removal and floating the currency.
ReplyDeleteMore allocation is available to states to pay back debts, no need for the impoverishing ways and means option and more funds available for capital projects instead of the 97 percent debt servicing budget of previous governments.
Hopefully, some governments will add something small for state retirees if possible. I feel for them since they are no longer able to work and are being paid agreed subsidy rates in post-subsidy times. When states like sokoto are sponsoring kewu teachers, you realize some people spend money to remain poor.
