Deadly bandits believed to be Fulani militias, on Thursday night, invaded the Rachi community in Bachi District in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, killing two people and injuring five others in the process.
The National President of the Berom Youths Moulder Association, BYM, Barr. Dalyop Solomon Mwantiri, who confirmed the attack in a statement in Jos, said the incident occurred at 8:00 pm when the bandits stormed the village and attacked the residents.
The BYM President noted that residents of the community described the attackers as armed herders who they say organised the raid through newly formed networks operating in parts of the state.
