My younger brother is getting marriage, his girlfriend is pregnant so he's ready to take responsibility. We visited the girls family yesterday to collect list. I'm so happy for him but deep down that should be me. I'm 35year old his 25yrs . He has a company his doing well for himself while am just a school teacher earnings 70k every month. How can I start a family with this salary? I'm not lazy, very hard working but is like I have fail as a senior brother as a first son. I'm sooo happy for him. But not happy for myself . My heart is so heavy since last night. That should be me,
Even though my dad or my siblings didn't say anything to me. Maybe they don't want me to feel bad. But......

DeleteIf you are good in a particular subject, quit full time teaching and start doing part time teaching where you teach a particular subject in different schools. You can pick up more than one subject and teach in different schools on different days . This way, you will earn more while having time for yourself. The subject teachers charge per period (40mins - 1hr). Some collect as much as 20k depending on the city. Multiply 20k times 4 schools/periods in a week.
You can research how much they charge in your own city.
Then you can add extra home lesson after school. Organize home lesson for students in subjects you are good at after school.
Offer special lessons for students who want to write Jamb/GCE/WAEC/Preliminary exams, IJMB, pre-admission, etc. They charge very high for these ones, runs into hundreds of thousands and the child must pass o 😂.
This way, you will be able to gather money to move ahead like renting a place for tutoring students in the last set of exams that I mentioned. There are men who have made it big through tutorial centers. They lias with other teachers and tutor students for these exams.
Lastly, you can get other side hustles when you make money from the above, I mean side hustles different from teaching line, if you don't want to continue with teaching line.
I just advised you like I would my younger brother.

Remember, we serve a supernatural God. His ways are higher than our ways.
When we believe, all things become possible!
The first step is to quit trying to figure everything out. There may not be a way in the natural, but that’s okay. God can do what men can’t do.
Think about the children of Israel. When they left Egypt, there were two million of them. Then, Pharaoh came chasing after them, and when they came to a dead end at the Red Sea, it looked like it was over. They couldn’t see a way out, but that didn’t mean there wasn’t a way. God simply parted the Red Sea, and they went through on dry ground.
it may seem like no way in the natural, trust God to make a way. He will part the waters if He has to! He will do whatever it takes to lead and guide you in the path of victory that He has prepared for you!
Lay them at His feet and go find rest.
