Hon. Olamijuwonlo Ayodeji Alao-Akala (APC, Oyo State) introduced a motion to formally reject Trump’s claims, asserting that Nigeria’s constitution guarantees religious freedom and that the country should not be mischaracterized on the global stage.
The Lawmakers clashed over whether to defend Nigeria’s global image or confront internal security failures and the session ended in a closed-door meeting, underscoring the issue’s sensitivity.
The motion was eventually adopted, but not without controversy.

They should better work on the latter
