  16. Well, to each his own. I've never done it, and neither will my husband demand such. For those who do, as long as they are happy, no wahala.

This made me remember one of my dad's cousin's gist we heard when we were young. He got married to this born again, very respectful lady. When people visit them, they marvel at the things this woman does as a sign of respect for her husband. One of which is kneeling down to serve his food. The gist had it that even if the husband wasn't on the seat while serving, she still kneels down for the empty chair😀

  17. I don’t know for me I see respect as what you deem fit for that person due to their antecedent. If a man is good to me, I don’t mind kneeling for him to show him I appreciate him as a person. I’m not too big or educated for a great husband.

  18. If a man sleeps with you at night, he has got no right to this service. Education and literacy is a total liberation.

The one that ought to stop is Igbo girls kneeling down to give their husbands to be a drink in igba nkwu ceremony. I will rather they both stand up and have the drink.

God only will have my knees. I will slightly bow low to greet my elders and that’s it.
