AFCON 2025: Nigeria Beats Uganda 3-1

AFCON 2025 Group C match on Tuesday December 30, 2025 ended with Nigeria beating Uganda 3-1 at the Fez Sports Complex. The Super Eagles took the lead in the 28th minute when Paul Onuachu scored his first international goal in four years, assisted by Fisayo Dele-Bashiru. 


Raphael Onyedika then doubled the lead with a goal in the 62nd minute, Onyedika then sealed the win for Nigeria with his second goal in the 67th minute making it 3-0. 
Uganda scored their first goal of the match through Mato in the 75th minute. This victory gave Nigeria a perfect group stage record of three straight wins, advancing them to the last 16 as group winners.

    Onyedika did the Lords work yesterday 😀😀 scoring two goals in five minutes was so impressive..but this team can’t just keep clean sheets against 10 men Uganda
