Raphael Onyedika then doubled the lead with a goal in the 62nd minute, Onyedika then sealed the win for Nigeria with his second goal in the 67th minute making it 3-0.
Uganda scored their first goal of the match through Mato in the 75th minute. This victory gave Nigeria a perfect group stage record of three straight wins, advancing them to the last 16 as group winners.
