DECEPTIVE LOVER
I was already planning to go and see my girlfriend's family during the festive period so this was a perfect time for me to introduce myself to her mother.
I later got a text message from my girlfriend telling me not to park my bus in front of her compound like I normally do, that I should park on the next Street and walk down to her house.
I thought maybe the street is blocked because of an ongoing event. I parked on the next Street as she instructed. When I entered the street everywhere was free and I kept wondering why she asked me to park on the next Street.
Immediately I knocked on her door she rushed out and pulled me to one corner of the compound and said why am I wearing jeans and t-shirt, why wasn't I properly dressed.
I told her I don't understand, I came straight from work to her house and besides this is how I dress to work everyday.....
As a bus driver was I supposed to wear a suit?.
When I finally met her mother, she was really glad to see me. She said, she has heard so many good things about me.
That her husband cannot wait to meet his new lawyer son-in-law.

Before I could respond my girlfriend interrupted me and and said I should follow her outside that there is something she would like to tell me.
When we went outside, she said she's sorry that she told her family I'm a lawyer because if she had told them that, I'm a bus driver, they will not rate me. I was really disappointed in her. The girl that I want to marry is not proud of me.
I am a proud bus driver. I have been driving since at the age of 20 and now I'm 27 years old with three buses and two properties; one in my village and in the city.
From the proceeds of my bus. I give her 3k for her upkeep everyday.
I have stopped giving her money. You cannot be collecting money from me and not be proud of the hustle that brings the money.
I told her since she's dating a lawyer she should wait for me to win a big case, then I will come and marry her, for now I don't think I want to proceed with the marriage plans.
I don't want to build my marriage on lies

Who knows how far you will go, logistics, courier, special persons, you’ve already done very well for your age. This guy literally treated me like a Princess. Even as the relationship has ended and he has asked that we should be friends, how can I stay friends with someone I still have feelings for?
