Mrs Buhari said her late husband was vulnerable to various forms of scheming and manipulation by extended family members and old friends.
She made the disclosure in the biography, From Soldier to Statesman: The Legacy of Muhammadu Buhari, authored by Charles Omole.
She said that her late husband was deeply fond of his extended family members and old friends, a disposition they allegedly took advantage of.
The book quoted her as saying: “With most of her children living and studying abroad early in Buhari’s first term, extended family members filled the void and occupied houses across the Villa.
“And because of his fondness and attachment to his extended family and old friends, Buhari was vulnerable to all kinds of scheming and manipulations.
“Those who knew his weaknesses exploited them to the detriment of the lofty goals of his administration.”

I actually believe this.
ReplyDeleteYou must be naive to believe this cock and bull story!🤦🏾♀️
DeleteBuhari was a soldier but he's definitely NOT A STATESMAN!
Who forced Buhari to become the president? Something he desperately contested for 3 TIMES and FAILED before his unholy 'alliance' with AD forced him on Nigerians with such a catastrophic ending for the economy and security.
18:10, nobody is completely evil and every wicked person has done good in their lives too. Some of the most wicked ppl were known to be highly generous and spoiling of those they loved. Which mean they could be exploited by those ppl they favoured, even in immoral and unethical ways. I don’t see anything about her words to strike me as odd about human nature. She is not painting him as a saint, at least I did not interpret it that way.
DeleteAnon 18:10 gbam. A disgrace and a charlatan. Why contest for so long with no action plan? Wasted years and took us decades back.
DeleteStory!
ReplyDeleteDesperately trying to whitewash the monster
Your husband is evil, failed leader and Allah will punish his soul.
ReplyDeleteAmen! May Allah fry him like akara
DeleteOk.
ReplyDeleteAkiko na egwu
ReplyDeleteA man demoted you to the kitchen publicly, avoided you because he felt you would kill him and you’re covering him up like this?
ReplyDeleteHmmmm.
I suspect she didn’t make enough money while her husband was in power hence this book. Chai
Naah, it’s not about not making znough money, it is very typical of women, it cuts across tribes and religions. We have seen women here on this blog whose husbands were even hitting them, yet as soon as the news filters out, they do a cover up video and go all lovey dovey for publicity just to cover up. We have seen snow whitey n FFK, we have read about Mercy Johnson n her hubby. We still dey on Epa and Regina Daniels, remember before everything scattered she was seriously covering for him and even mocking ppl. So it is very typical of women to enable and cover up nonsense then later cry foul.
DeleteShe probably has some stake in the book, and has to talk about it somehow. Not sure if he left any spousal support for her in the will, or if she has any other means of income. She is only 54, so still fairly young, those bills are not gonna pay themselves.
Delete14:51 they are muslims, she has a share in what he has left behind, that one is compulsory, we typically do not leave wills behind, and even if one decides to write a Will, he is forbidden from excluding his child and spouse. So yes, by the sharing formula of what he left behind, she gets 1/8 of it all. Remember she has no small kid that she is training, all her kids are married into millionaire/billionaire family. You talk as if she is some ordinary person on the street. No she is not she was the former FIRST LADY OF NIGERIA, and we all know in Nigeria, former first ladies, whether their spouses are dead or alive, do not ever get poor, if they did, pls give us an example. We still have Maryam Abacha, Turai Yaradua etc, they dont look like they need to ‘write a book’ for their ‘bills’ to be paid.
DeleteThe richer they are. The more their expenses. Which of her kids will buy her a house in Kensington London? Or in New York?. Or pay for private jets everywhere?. You don’t know that rich people can be broke too. As for the other forest ladies, their husbands stole a lot and they have access to that loot

Delete16:46, thanks for the insight into the Muslim world. Times are more expensive today than they were for those former First Ladies. Aisha is very young, she may have a solid 30-40 years of life left, her children have their own responsibilities so she has to survive somehow. A book is a lifelong stream of income. I think her future ventures will all be longevity based and no matter what the laws are, if she was put to the side it is also likely that she did not get much, after all, we are all living in a man’s world, and he who has the power make the decisions.
DeleteMadam go and rest. Were are there names? Nigeria and Nigerians have forgotten about your husband. Old things have passed away. The latest gist now is Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu.
ReplyDeleteNgwanu bye in XP voice.
It was very obvious
ReplyDeleteMadam, what was his weakness gangan.
ReplyDeleteMust you women here project your bile on every conversation involving a couple. Aisha Buhari has never been one to pick her words, we all were witnesses during the administration. If she said this, then that was her reality.
ReplyDeleteAs for the late president, a person can be a goodly individual but an incompetent leader. From comments across board over the years, the testimony has always been about his honesty and upright disposition even from his enemies. At least he's not like the BAT sh*thing over everything right now
We are not gullible
