DeleteEvery time I see a pregnant woman, I immediately say a quick prayer for her in my heart. Because for every time a woman enters the labor room or theater to birth her baby, she's literally between life and death. What we pray for always, is that mother and baby are alive and fine. No woman deserves to go through discomfort for 9 months, and harrowing labor, only to lose her life or her baby. NONE!

No woman deserves that sad end. Whenever i see a pregnant woman i become more compassionate and my empathy goes from 80% to 1000%. I also what speak to female gender. I hate it how some of you treat pregnant women. Some of you be saying i have done that, so what special about what she is passing through. Please we all need love. Show love more and it will definitely come back.

ReplyDeleteThe flesh and the spirit are constantly at war, and the one we feed is the one that wins. To live above the flesh, a child of God must keep feeding and filling his or her spirit with the word of God.
As long as Peter fed his spirit, the devil couldn't touch him. However, the moment he began to feed his ego by boasting that he would never deny Jesus (Matthew 26:34-35), he became weak spiritually. Jesus had warned Peter that the devil had targeted him to make him fall (Luke 22:31), but instead of running back to the secret place to fortify himself, he kept boasting about his inability to fall until he eventually fell.
When we don't feed our spirit, we will become vulnerable to the attacks of the enemy. We will become overly sensitive to offences and will easily get annoyed and irritated by many things.
Feeding our spirit must be a regular exercise. In Matthew 6:34, Jesus said, "...Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." In other words, to overcome the evil of each day, we must feed our spirit every day. We must spend time in God's word. Joshua 1:8 says, "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night..." We must also spend time in prayer so that we won't become a victim of the enemy.
Let's feed our spirit every single day by studying the word of God and fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit.

PhD before his peers even finished their Masters.
A man of discipline no smoke, no drink, no scandals.
He chose one woman, married his best friend, stayed faithful.
He raised four brilliant children, sent them all abroad on merit.
Gave them everything he never had.
They now live good lives in foreign lands married, thriving, far away.
He is now over 70. A professor. A man respected in academic circles, but forgotten in the quiet corners of his own home.
Today, he stands in his kitchen, cooking eba alone.
His wife the woman he built everything with left for a routine visit to help their daughter with childbirth.
That was three years ago.
She never came back, claiming, she wants to get her residency or green card.
Now she belongs to the children.
She FaceTimes him on birthdays and sends love in group chats, but her heart no longer lives here.
He has become a bachelor again by abandonment, not by choice.
This is the lonely end of a good man.
A man who did everything right.
Who never cheated.
Who never strayed.
Who lived by the book.
Who believed love and duty were enough.
And yet, here he is.
Alone.
Heartbroken.
Still in love with a woman who forgot to come home.
And this is not just his story this is the silent fate of many “good men.”
Now the hard questions must be asked:
If he was a polygamist, would one wife have stayed?
If he mingled with friends, built strong social networks, joined the staff club, would it have made the silence less deafening?
If he had a side chick someone who also cared would he feel less invisible now?
If he lived a little less for others and a little more for himself, would this end still look the same?
This is not a call to abandon virtue, but a call to reexamine balance.
Because loyalty is beautiful, but loneliness is brutal.
And love, when it is not mutual in old age, becomes a slow heartbreak no medicine can cure.
To the men reading this;
how do we escape ending up like this?
What structures, relationships, and self-preservation must we build today to ensure we’re not cooking eba alone at 75, asking where everybody went?
Because being good is not enough.

ReplyDeleteEvery corner you turn to nowadays, it's tailor that you will see. Some keep the sewing machine in front of their houses while some are selling provision and also have sewing machine at a corner, making clothes. They charge as low as 2000 to make a simple gown. They are the ones spoiling things for us.
As for me, I let people know that I don't charge less than 5k no matter how simple the style is. They tell me I am expensive and go away.
What I notice however is that, when they want to sew an expensive material like lace fabrics or expensive Ankara, they come to me. When they want to sew aso-ebi and don't want any mistake, they come to me. Reason is, I give them neat and correct job. They only go to the cheap tailors to make simple styles and cheap fabrics.
I am learning from all these Facebook groups on how to set my business apart from others. Social media is good.
