AFCON 2025 Round Of 16 -Senegal Beats Sudan 3-1

In an exciting AFCON 2025 Round of 16 match, Senegal secured a 3-1 victory over Sudan on Saturday January 3, 2026. The game started with Sudan taking an early lead when Aamir Abdallah scored in the 6th minute. 


Senegal fought back with Pape Gueye equalizing in the 29th minute, followed by another goal from Pape Gueye in stoppage time of the first half (45+2) to make it 2-1. The decisive third goal came from substitute Ibrahim Mbaye in the 77th minute, sealing the win 3-1. 
With this win, Senegal has advanced to the quarterfinals.
