TEACHER LIFE

We need to have a very uncomfortable conversation about the "Lion Mommies" and "Tiger Daddies" in our school hallways.
I’m talking about the parent who treats the school like a boxing ring.
You know them, they are at the gate by 7:30 AM to start a fight because a tiny bow is missing from their daughter's shoe.

They call the Head Teacher because another 3-year-old "touched their child’s bead." They scream at the top of their lungs because a button fell off a shirt.
But the worst part? They go ballistic if you dare to caution their child for being rude. "Don't you ever raise your voice at my child!" they scream, while the child stands there watching their parent "finish" the teacher.

Here is the "Teacher’s Secret": When you act like this, you are effectively "blacklisting" your child.

As teachers, we are humans.
When a parent is overbearing, aggressive, and looks for every excuse to humiliate us, the natural human instinct is to avoid that "trouble" at all costs. You start to see the child and you see a headache.
You want to avoid the child like a plague just to maintain your mental health. You stop being "extra" with them.
You stop the extra hugs, the extra attention, the extra patience, because you are terrified that even a smile might be misinterpreted by the parent.

The parent thinks they are "protecting" their child, but they are actually isolating them. You are building a wall around your kid that even the most loving teacher won't want to climb.
I struggle with this every day. I look at the child and remind myself: "This little one is innocent. They didn't choose their parents." But it’s hard. It’s so hard to pour love into a child when the parent is busy pouring venom into your heart.

WOW....Those of you with kids in school, please read this Oooooooooooooooh

INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD

These days, I have been thinking about the monotonous lifestyle I live. Rinse and repeat every day. It gets boring and tiring, but it's the phase I am in.

Its not just me, a lot of my friends in the same phase are complaining about the same thing, for them its waking up tired always, going through the stress of preparing the kids for school, doing the school runs, going to work, close from work pick the kids in school.
Repeating the cycle over and over again, throw in going to church/ mosque, and that’s all.
I am tired and sleep deprived and a lot of my older friends tell me that I will miss the phase and I should cherish it and the moments, that a time is coming when they will be teenagers and they will become independent.

I am told constantly that I will miss this phase and wish they were still small.
I am looking forward to when they are older, sleeping through the night, and even old enough to make breakfast themselves
My friends who are empty nesters are also complaining that they miss having the kids at home.
I don’t think an end comes to a parent complaint about different phases of parenting.
Anyway, all I know is I am sleep deprived and looking forward to when the kids are sleeping through the night.
Thank you for reading my ramblings and rant. I really need to sleep.

Madam go and sleep...Ask any of your siblings to look after them and lock your room door so that they dont run to wake you up....Do this and sleep like a baby

NOTORIOUS FOR JESUS

In the wake of the unfortunate death of Nkanu, Chimamanda's son, I stumbled upon a thread that uncovering shocking details of some Nigerian hospitals and the careless behaviour of their personnel.

These were people's experience and reality.

A lady recalled how her father fell from five storey building and broke his leg. The hospital insisted that the leg is damaged beyond repair and must be cut off. The man's family refused and took him to a traditional medical centre where his bones was rearranged and he began to walk again.
Imagine if they had agreed for his leg to be chopped off, knowing that a leg that is cut off cannot be regained.

Another person narrated how his father had a leg surgery and a portion of the bone was removed and replaced with a metal, after which he could no longer walk even though he had been walking before the surgery.
On patronising the traditional bone home, he was asked if he was given the bone that was remove, which he affirmed. They retrieve it, removed the metal, replaced with the bone and after a while, he could walk again.

Traditional bone setter took the bone and did what? how did they remove the metal? some people need to use their tongue to count their teeth while lying...So the man was leaving the hospital and they gave him his bone to give to his dog or what? abeg abeg abeg!!!

THINGS TO NOTE ABOUT WOMEN
- Women forgive slower, but once they lose trust , it's gone forever.
- A woman's silence is far more dangerous than her anger.
- Women sense emotional shifts before words are spoken.
- If a woman feels unheard, she stops trying long before she leaves.
-. Women mirror the energy they receive.
- A woman becomes emotionally loyal way before she admits it.
- Women test consistency, not perfection.
- A woman can love deeply and still walk away when disrespected.
- Women overthink because they feel deeply, not because they are weak.
- A woman falls out of love the same way she fell in;it happens gradually, then suddenly.

20 BAD HABITS YOU MUST AVOID IN CHURCH IN 2026

1. Constant lateness to church services and meetings. It proves that your love for God and the things of the Kingdom has grown cold. PLEASE STOP IT. ---I totally disagree with this cos anything can cause lateness

2. Refusing to sit where the ushers direct you. It is a sign of pride and disorderliness. PLEASE STOP IT. --- no, it is not, some ushers are wicked and if they target you, you will sit where you will enjoy Church service...I always refused where they ushered me to sit in House on the rock church...lol

3. Allowing your phone to ring loudly during service. Put it on silent or switch it off. PLEASE STOP IT.

4. Making and receiving calls during service. It shows where your true priority is. PLEASE STOP IT.

5. Chewing gum and sleeping during the sermon. The church is not a cinema or bedroom. Show reverence to God. PLEASE STOP IT. ----This sleeping thing eh, nobody plans it but trust me that sleeping in church is the sweetest sleep ever....i saw someone fall down from church once while sleeping....lol

6. Sitting during praise, worship, and prayer without any health reason. It shows spiritual laziness. PLEASE STOP IT.

7. Constantly checking the time during service. It shows impatience in God’s presence. PLEASE STOP IT. ---Well some Pastors over preach.

8. Chatting, posting, or playing games on your phone during service. It shows carnality. PLEASE STOP IT.

9. Leaving before the benediction without any genuine reason. It shows a lack of respect for God and His servant. PLEASE STOP IT.

10. Standing outside to gist during service. Service is going on inside, gossip is going on outside which side are you on? PLEASE STOP IT.

TO BE CONTINUED ON MONDAY

The text in red is my two cents and you dont need to agree with it..

  6. When a man feels betrayed, something dies inside him.

Men don’t cry loudly when betrayed.

    They go silent.

And silence from a man is his loudest cry.

  12. Good afternoon blogfam. I hope we are enjoying our day. One would sleep during sermon if it's lengthy. preachers should sometimes make it brief and engaging.., but truth be told, regular lateness to events or church shows poor preparation and prioritizing, some people polish shoes on sunday morning..all things needed for church ought to have been arranged a day before..fSign out post on point. I wish us a relaxing weekend.

    2. Not possible. Very impossible. Hausa's will disturb you till you learn. There is no way you won't have one or two things to do with people of that tribe once you are based there for that long(30yrs). 30 is not 3 yrs my dear

  16. Is it really possible to live in the north ( KD)for 30years and not be able to speak nor understand Hausa?

    1. 30 years, I don't think so at least the person will understand. I hear say Hausa Simple to learn.

    2. I don't think is possible

    3. I doubt it. Even some months I stayed there, I was already speaking hausa 🗣️
Even if the person is not interested, they'll be a need to communicate to others.

      Delete
    4. It is possible Ma'am Lora.

But, the person should understand the basics though.

Some of these middle belt regions have locations that aren't dominated by Hausa speaking inhabitants so there's probability for one to reside there and not understand hausa.

There is a place called Apata in Jos where the inhabitants are mostly Igbos. Now, if someone lives 30 years of their life there, you won't blame them if they don't understand Hausa, yet people believe that once you're live in Jos, you should understand Hausa.

KD is not core north, so it is possible.

      Delete
    5. Very possible if the person isn't living among the locals.

      Delete
    6. I don't know if it's possible or not. Some people pick up languages faster and more easily than others. But 30 years is too long a time to stay in a place without understanding or speaking the language. Haba

  25. If usher offers me a seat or a place that's not convenient, I will not accept.
No matter how sweet your preaching is, anything more than 30 minutest or at most, one hour, I lose interest and will be distracted.
I don't like going late to church, because my best program in church is praise and worship, RCCG start their programs with praise and worship and if I go late, I'm going to miss it, so I always try my best not to go late, infact to events, work, programs and everywhere I need to attend.

@Teacher's life, those types of parents who described don't even know that they're causing more harm to their children. As a teacher and I know how troublesome you are, I'd definitely keep your ward at arm's lengths.

Awww @ motherhood poster 🤗🤗🤗 please create a 'me time' no matter how much your kids need you.

Bad habits to avoid in church, I'm guilty of no1&2. I don't like sitting in the front row and in Anglican, they start filling the seats from the front so I deliberately come late to avoid that.

I don't obey the ushers when there's heat and they direct me to sit where there's no fan or far from A/C.
I just look for where I will receive air and sit.
Let the late comers sit where there's space left. I cannot see where better air will blow on me and go sit where I will be sweating because I want to follow Usher's order.
