I salute everyone this beautiful new day in a beautiful new year....I can see from comments that despite my preaching that we should leave the hate behind some people like to trend with rubbish comments.....All i can say is that i know what to do.....You hear?

So have you resumed work or school? How is this week looing like for you?Well una know say my work no get holiday but i still manage to take ym holiday inside the work..I love this Job so much eh.....

Eh hen i forgot to gist you people that i went to fresh fish shop and saw the fish that instagram cookers use to cook banga soup...My mind just shouted see Naija fish oh....Its also the type my mum used to cook pepper soup for my Dad that i would be salivating to eat.....I have made up my mind to go and get this big fish this week-----It has big thick skales and is very delish ......I think it is called Ohore in isoko...hehehehehehhehehe Oki did you get the name?

 Enjoy the rest of the day, I wanna go into city and walk around briefly, will be enabling comments and i also had some scheduled posts  put up..so no worry...

Last Christmas, I witnessed a shocking scene where someone collected a Christmas meal brought in by neighbors, thanked pretentiously, waited for them to leave then tossed it in the trash can.

Instead of collecting food and trashing it, why not respectfully decline? Or even give it away?

Did it ever occur to you that the person who brought it had good intentions and would have invested money and time? And emotions?

Sometimes I marvel about the heartlessness of some humans, how do people sleep at night knowing they have grudges towards someone? Because whaaat? Was it fair to have trashed the food?  

What is the best way to decline a gift or good will?

A lot of people do that and its cos they are scared of being poisoned...Some even have testimonies of even surviving such poisons....Declining at that point would not have been a wise thing to do but instead of throwing it away, why not gift beggars on the streets`Some will say whether na beggar good to eat poison....How do you know for a fact that there was poison in the food?

A TEACHER'S LIFE
Welcome to January, the month of "New Year, New Me" for everyone except Kindergarten teachers.

 For us, it’s "New Year, Same Chaos."
While you were all finishing the last of the Christmas jollof, we teachers were already back in the classroom a week early. We spend five days laminating flashcards, replacing class decorations from last term, and arranging the "Reading Corner" like it’s a Five-Star hotel. We put in the work to make the room look perfect, all while trying to remember how to wake up before 6:00 AM.

Then comes Monday morning: The Grand Opening.

The gates open and the "Christmas clinginess" is at an all-time high. You see a 4-year-old holding onto his father’s leg like his life depends on it, screaming like the school building is on fire. Then you have the parents—bless their hearts—who stand there doing "one more hug", as if they aren't secretly dying to drive off and enjoy the silence. (Hahahahhahahahahahahahhaha)

I stand there at the door, the "Resumption Mask" firmly in place. I am smiling, I am singing, and I am telling little Tobi that "School is fun!" Meanwhile, deep inside, I want to join him in that tantrum. I want to sit on the floor, throw my shoes, and cry because I miss my bed, my freedom, and my afternoon naps.HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

But I can't. If I crack, the whole class falls apart. So I stay "grumpy-on-the-inside" while being "Mary Poppins-on-the-outside."

Parents, here is a New Year resolution for you: When you drop them off, walk fast, very fast. Don't look back. Every minute you spend "consoling" them at the gate is another minute I have to spend de-escalating a situation you started.

Hahahahahahahahahahhahahahhaha this looks like fun indeed.

Parents remember to WALK FAST from tomorrow.!!!

PARENTS, WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT BOARDING SCHOOLS.

Many parents proudly say, “My child is in boarding school.”
But very few parents can confidently say, “I actually know what my child is going through there.”

Boarding school is not automatically discipline.
It is not automatically quality.
And it is definitely not automatically safety.
Some children are living in hostels with:

---Poor feeding
---Emotional neglect
---Bullying
---Unhygienic facilities
---Weak supervision
---Unhealthy Relationship
---and serious psychological pressure

Yet their parents only see report cards and school bills.
When last did you: visit your child’s hostel unannounced?
speak privately with your child about how they truly feel?
check the toilets, the water, the beds, the food, the security?

Many children are silently enduring things they don’t have the words, or courage, to explain.
And the hard truth is this:
no school will love your child more than you do.
So if you don’t look closely,
if you don’t ask uncomfortable questions,
if you don’t verify what you’re paying for,
then the system will keep doing whatever it likes.

Because silence is permission.
We cannot keep outsourcing parenting and then acting surprised when things go wrong.
Let’s start checking.
Let’s start asking.
Let’s start protecting our children, not just paying for them.
