Pinky's CORNER

It's best to travel in the morning or afternoon if going Southwest. I love the night movement but the insecurity changed everything.

I was to go see my sister in-law at Ikorodu and also use the opportunity to see the two people I promised to help fix their phone whenever I come over to lagos. I don even carry my tools join body.

‎When I got to the park, I saw too many people traveling to Ikorodu and bus no dey. I waited and after a while, I moved out of the new terminal and crossed to the other side to see if I would get a bus and it was the same thing. I finally got a bus 100metres away from the other park. Transport fare of 4200 changed to 7200 to Ikorodu
. No option because it was getting late already.

‎We started the journey. After like 40mins that we left express and got into the way to Ogun state, the bus tyre burst. He stopped and began to think of what to do. he no get extra tyre.
No one waited to help us and even if na me, i wont stop because na dark place. He fortunately got an extra tyre from one bus going to Ibadan from Ikorodu or so.

‎When we started the journey, i realized my network was bad coupled with battery low. So I decided to switch off my phone which was what helped me.

In the process of changing the tyre, some guys crossed over pretending to come help us but they actually came to obtain us. One brought out gxn and the others were with cutlasses and axe. Immediately i sighted them, I dIPped my hand through the bus window and threw my phone under the seat.

They collected all the phones, cash ,etc. Funny enough, all through no bus or vehicle passed. Not long, a bus was sighted from a far, the guys pretended to be part of us and instructed everyone to cooperate or else.
The driver came close and stopped since he knows our driver. Immediately he came to meet our driver where the guys told him to pretend to be fixing the tyre, the guys immediately switched to action. The driver wanted to prove stubborn but immediately the one holding the gxn pulled the trigger, him body call straight. They also obtained those people in the other bus and after like 40mins to an hour, they left. Omo, the passenger in the other bus began to fire their driver.

‎To cut it short, the tyre was fixed and the journey began. I Jejejly brought out my phone under the seat and kept it in my pocket. I couldn't even bring it out to switch it on so as to inform wify what happened because i felt for everyone. Immediately i got to my bus stop, i alighted and called who I was going to meet.

‎So funny.. Everything happened like a film. At 9pm, we were still at that spot acting film based on instructions given to us by those guys. You need to see them, they are so young and I was just wondering up and down asking rhetorical questions. Wetin push these boys to dey do these things. If they catch them now, them go dey beg. Happy we are alive shaa.

Ire ooooooooooooooo

  4. What a hellish experience. The thing that pisses me off about stories like these is that folks taking intercity buses are simple working class folks. Just adding more burdens to their lives. Anyway, just grateful nobody was hurt.

  10. Thank God you are safe. Drivers need to have a checklist of these things without which they should not be allowed to be in the road. Fire extinguisher, spare tire with replacement kit, water for carburator, c caution, spare fan belt and spark plug, battery cables, etc. these things save lives and are not extra luggage.
